Basic Qualifications & Skills
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience with hands-on equipment maintenance; must include experience with solving electronics failures, using such tools as test clips for device packages along with grabbers, SMD tweezers, probes, and insertion/extraction tools
3+ years experience with supervising work for a team of technically skilled individuals
Desired Qualifications & Traits
Plumbing License, Certified Pool & Spa (CPO) License, Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certified
Previous experience in leadership role in resort/waterpark setting
Able to develop, implement, and monitor programs that adhere to all appropriate regulations, including: Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communications

Estimated Salary Range:
$75000 per year - $85000 per year annual base salary
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf's total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.

We're currently searching for a seriously responsible, highly focused Director of Engineering to provide support and expertise to the engineering team.

Ongoing repair and maintenance of the entire hotel and F&B facilities including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
Maintains effective Energy Management. Continuously looks for energy efficient solutions and Innovative projects
Regularly lead, mentor and coordinate activities of the engineering staff engaged in maintaining and repairing the physical structure of the building promptly and efficiently to the required standard.
Conduct regular departmental meetings, performance evaluations and ensure ongoing development of Engineering team to ensure effective communication and standards are adhered to in the department
Oversee departmental budget under the direction of the Hotel General Manager, including forecasting, budgeting, capital planning and proposals to ensure ongoing maintenance of the hotel
Ensure all local, state and federal law compliance and building codes are adhered to
Lead the hotels Fire Safety & Emergency Evacuation Teams.
About you...
Min. of ten (10) years' experience in a seniorEngineering role, with a min. 5 years Managerial experience
Bachelors Degree or related technical school degree preferred.
Prior luxury hotel experience required
Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they relate to the hotel and chemical storage as per OSHA
Possess a LEED-GA certification or obtain withing the 1st year of employment.
Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
