Responsibilities MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for a variety of patients and execute individualized patient assessments to create an individualized plan of care. MedSurg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients. MedSurg RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: MedSurg RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications Initiate alternative action when adverse symptomology is displayed Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs when necessary Shift: 3x12 Nights

Responsibilities Pediatric Registered Nurses (Peds RNs) assist pediatricians in examinations and observe and record pediatric patients' vital signs. Peds RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer medication, draw blood, and administer vaccinations using age-appropriate guidelines Set up drips and blood transfusions, intravenous infusions, and assist with tests and evaluations Provide education and support to families and patients Shift: 3x12 Nights

Responsibilities Progressive Care Unit RNs (PCU RNs) care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to require ICU care. PCU RNs use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information. PCU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Record patient's medical information and vital signs Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays to help guide treatment Shift: 3x12 Nights

Responsibilities Stepdown Nurses (RN) provide patient care in transitional units where patients are too sick for the med-surg floor but not sick enough for intensive care. Stepdown RNs job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Evaluate and monitor patient's progress, identifying sudden or subtle changes in the patient's medical condition Calculate drug dosage, titrate medication doses, administer continuous medication infusion and monitor patients for effects of medication Stepdown RNs work closely and collaborate with physicians and all other healthcare professionals Shift: 3x12 Days

Responsibilities Telemetry RNs (Tele RNs) consult with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. The Tele RN utilizes machines that measure a patient's heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, as well as blood oxygen levels and electrocardiogram information. Tele RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Tele RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report an adverse reaction to medications in accordance with policies Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team member Monitor specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays Shift: 3x12 Days

Responsibilities Intermediate Care Unit RNs (IMCU RNs) treat patients who are suffering from serious conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, electrolyte imbalances, renal failure, liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, sepsis, respiratory distress or multi-system organ failure. IMCU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assess each patient's needs individually and collect relevant data, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels, according to the facility's prescribed procedure Perform physician-prescribed treatments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians, being an advocate for the patient Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients Shift: 3x12 Days
