    Responsible for all facets of the guest service sequence from start to finish. Greet guests in a friendly, welcoming manner and closely observe their needs throughout the service. Take food and beverage orders, deliver items to guest tables in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner. Complete side-work, and monitor the cleanliness of assigned station. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome * Take food and beverage orders while utilizing suggestive selling techniques in a non-intrusive manner * Serve all food and beverage items to guests in accordance with department standards, and pre-bus all courses after the completion of each * Set tables in accordance with the established chart/diagram * Bus, clean, and sanitize all table tops and seating areas in a timely manner * Maintain knowledge of table, seat and station numbers, room capacity, operational hours and table set up in the restaurant * Maintain knowledge of menu items including unavailable items, prices, preparation method/time, main ingredients, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and proper presentation methods * Efficiently use point-of-sale system and manual entry procedures, ensuring all items served to guests are accurately added to their check for payment * Complete side-work duties including, but not limited to restocking restaurant supplies, set up of condiments, ensuring sufficient supply of wares, and set up of tables and side station supplies * Sweep and clean main dining room and server pickup area in kitchen as needed to maintain proper health district standards and ensure guest satisfaction and safety * Perform all duties with great attention to detail, speed and accuracy * Extend appreciation for the guest's patronage and invite them to return * Complete all closing reports as assigned * Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees * Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Qualifications * Previous serving experience preferred * Previous experience multi-tasking, remaining calm and professional while working in a fast-paced restaurant environment * Prior experience exercising sound judgment when dealing with difficult guest situations * Ability to effectively communicate with management, chefs and staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by the guest or other employees * Previous experience with point-of-sale systems, computers and calculators * Previous experience working with InfoGenesis preferred * At least 21 years of age * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal * Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company * Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards * Alcohol Awareness * Health * Non-Gaming Physical Requirements * Occasionally push/pull up to 100 lbs. * Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, chest, and overhead levels * Occasionally squat, sit, communicate via radio, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity * Frequently bend, reach, and twist * Constant use of hearing and vision, walk, stand, and distinguish between shades of color Work Environment Potential Conditions * Indoor * Smoky and noisy * Slippery surfaces and chemical agents * Hot and cold temperatures Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.     As the Pt's Food Server, you will be responsible for having strong menu knowledge, conducting proper presentation of the menu, informing guests of daily specialties, beer, spirits & wine list, making recommendations of personal favorites, take orders, assists with delivering food, and processes payments for guests. Follow pre-determined service standards to ensure a positive guest dining experience at a level consistent with an upscale dining environment. Essential Functions: * Provide exceptional guest service at all times. * Greet the guest with a smile in an upbeat and positive manner (use their name if known). * Take dining reservations via Open Table efficiently and accurately, account and update Open Table to reflect open tables * Multi-tasking in dealing with ringing phones (must answer within 3 rings) while providing excellent guest service to restaurant guests * Escort guests to tables and assist guests with chairs, add or remove set-ups to reflect the number of guests dining. Make sure to assist guests with children and/or disabilities to ensure the guest is comfortable * Provide guests with menus and information about the service team such as who their server will be * Communicate with the server if seating a table that is outside of their assigned station to ensure continuous exceptional guest service * Inspect tables, stations and floors ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards. Check throughout meal period.
