Overview of the Position
The Seasonal Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations. This is a seasonal position with an expected end date based on business needs. Responsibilities
Receipt of incoming donations of glasses
Break down the pallets
Sort and classify boxes of glasses by type, diopter, and gender based on RestoringVision's classification system
Rebuild pallets of donations by type, diopter, and gender
Move pallets into their proper location as designated by the Production Manager
Build finished goods
Inspect, clean, and package incoming donations into finished goods (bagged and boxed glasses) following instructions provided by the Production Manager
Set aside any damaged glasses
Warehouse support
Maintain warehouse space organization
Move pallets to designated areas
Any other duties as required

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL PROCESSOR / RETAIL STOCK ASSOCIATE
As an entry-level Processor / Retail Warehouse Associate, you sort donated goods and textiles with an eye for detail to ensure that Goodwill quality control standards are met. The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds.
Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services.

Maintain cleanliness and appearance of warehouse(s), sorting area(s), storage container(s), restroom(s) and other surrounding areas; light grounds keeping may be required.
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the commercial waste receptacle area, including the breaking down of large unsalable items and placing neatly into appropriate receptacles.
Responsible for the movement of processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas.
Required to operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed.
Assist warehouse staff with the loading and unloading of donated items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location.
Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: No experience necessary, will train.
Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime and ability to work on some holidays.
Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.
Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demands: This position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods. The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms and must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
