Material Handler Forklift Operator
$16.00
Proper baling of materials and donated goods. Safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment such as manual hand jacks, electrical hand jacks and forklifts. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times. Flexibility to assume new job responsibilities as needed. Commitment to improvement and team building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, bins or trucks
Properly bales materials and donated goods
Safe operation of warehouse equipment including balers, manual hand jacks, electrical hand jacks and forklifts; Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of equipment; Report and document accidents according to procedures
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles, bands bundles together using baling equipment
Opens containers and sorts material into categories
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers, bins or bales
Maintains a clean work environment responsible for daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, cleaning equipment with rags, cleaning outside trailer yard, lunch room, bathrooms and other common areas as assigned
Additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred with at least 3 months of related warehouse experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Active forklift operator's certification or earned within 30 days of hire.

May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. Employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, risk of electrical shock and/or vibration. The noise level is usually loud.
