Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Transit Manager, successful applicants will inspect transit vehicles and transport passengers safely and efficiently on fixed route or on-demand public transit system, complete required paperwork as necessary
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect and operate Tribal Transit vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengers.
Assists passengers in boarding and alighting bus, operation of ramps and wheelchair lifts as necessary.
Assists in the loading and unloading of passenger baggage and other items as necessary.
Inspects and maintains Tribal Transit vehicles insuring safe operating conditions.
Maintain professional image and provide excellent customer service.
Assure that required fares are deposited in farebox and provide customer information as needed.
Maintain records and complete all required paperwork.
Comply with and promote safe practices in compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws rules and guidelines.
Provides information regarding Grand Canyon West, the Grand Canyon, including Hualapai cultural information.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Must demonstrate proficiency in Pre and Post Trip inspections.
Must have and maintain excellent attendance record.
Must maintain positive and professional work environment.
Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen and DOT physical prior to offer of employment.
Position requires physical effort such as walking, lifting (up to 40 pounds), standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, assisting passengers with bags, assisting passengers with and securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
Position requires sitting for some length of time with constant head, arm, hand and foot movement.
Geography and layout of property route and general description of GCW.
Operation of transit vehicles, wheelchair lifts, safety equipment and fueling systems.
Identifying maintenance needs and mechanical problems and refers for repair.
Following and maintaining safety standards, and identifying safety problems
Qualifications:
Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL), minimum of Class C, with "P" or "B" endorsement, driver's license.
An excellent driving records.
Provide extraordinary customer service.
Be able to provide a basic knowledge of the Grand Canyon and Hualapai culture.
Good oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Requires transportation of passengers over a predetermined tour route with loading and unloading zones at designated tour stops.
Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays.
Position requires sitting for some length of time with constant head, arm, hand and foot movement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

Responsibilities
Operates a tractor trailer truck that transports product to and from specified destinations.
Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
Ensures delivery-related paperwork is in order before departing the Distribution Center or transportation hub.
Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
Unloads cargo and delivers via a two-wheeler hand truck and/or pallet jack in a safe manner into store locations.
Maintains proper logs of travel and product according to Federal, State and DOT regulations.
Maintains contact with NDCP's Member Services team to communicate any problems or delays with deliveries.
Ensures the cleanliness and presentation of the interior of the truck cab, as well as the removal of delivery-related trash at the store and production kitchen (i.e., shrink wrap, cardboard, crates and pallets).
Conduct a proper post-trip inspection to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays the following day. Reports any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to the distribution center.
Serves as the face of NDCP and the main point of contact between the distribution center and the customer.
Trains and leverages a Driver Assistant, as applicable, to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of product to customer, as well as to assist in the safe maneuvering of the truck entering, exiting and parking at delivery locations.

Responsibilities
An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, making sure passengers get to their destination in an efficient, safe, and seamless manner.

Goes above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience that is guided by the SP+ Promise, including answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each customer interaction is a positive experience.
Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.

Possess a valid state-issued driver's license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
Substitute for Cashiers or Valets, when necessary, if authorized.

Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g. operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
