Review plans, drawings, diagrams, specifications and work orders; maintain repair and maintenance logs for equipment and facilities worked on. Record work orders as appropriate upon completion of projects and maintenance activities. Identify construction, maintenance and repair needs for facilities and equipment. Provide accurate estimates for labor and materials for work required. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Inspections and repairs that ensure quality and adherence to established policies and procedures, maintain equipment and supplies used for trades work. Repairing circuit breakers, replacing old switches, tracking down electrical shorts and generally ensuring the electrical systems of any building are working safely. Work on John Deere engines of various sized generators. Qualifications: Good oral communication skills. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License or obtain one within 60 days of employment as a Maintenance Electrician. High School Diploma or GED supplemented by specialized training in the electrician trade plus four to five (4-5) years of related electrician experience, one year of lead supervisory responsibility preferred. Have a solid working knowledge of national electrical codes and safety measures. Working Conditions: Position requires ability to work indoors as well as in outdoor environment for long periods of time, regardless of weather conditions. Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of duties. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays. We very much look forward to working with you! Job Description UL Solutions, will be installing a solar monitoring system (SMS ) near Holbrook, AZ on behalf of one of our Clients. The station occupies 650ft2 and consists of a solar panels, (2) 7-foot tripods, and scientific measurement equipment surrounded by a locked chain link fence. The station will be monitoring the solar irradiance as well as other meteorological and weather-related parameters. The station requires weekly maintenance, on the same day each week during daylight hours to ensure consistent and accurate data is being collected for a minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years . Your duties will include the following: Uphold highest level of communication as first point of contact for equipment in field; Ensure all equipment is level & clean on a weekly basis; Provide troubleshooting (w/support from UL Solutions) and when requested, repair(s) for low-medium complexity issues; Ensure there is no debris obstructing the system (depending on site/region, grass cutting, snow removal, or clearing brush); and Confirm the system is secure and hasn't been tampered with. Each maintenance visit should take 60-90 minutes. UL Solutions requires a weekly excel logbook uploaded via internet along with photos and other documentation to support the visit which should take 45-90 minutes. The entire process is estimated to require between 2-4 hours each week, including travel time to and from site. Occasionally, UL Solutions may request your assistance in replacing or troubleshooting equipment. A Senior Engineer would contact you to walk you through the process.
