Phlebotomist Department: Collector Reports to: Collector Operations Manager Pay Group: Non-Exempt Looking for a Phlebotomist who will be responsible for specimen collection including various types of toxicology and blood. You will act in the best interest of patient care and Gravity Diagnostics while serving as a liaison between our lab and our customers. This role will also perform a wide variety of administrative/clerical duties. Schedule: This position offers a flexible schedule, requiring 12 hours per week to be worked Monday through Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of the collection Conduct specimen collections competently, following collection procedures and customer requirements and instructions to deliver a quality specimen collection service at customer locations Adhere to confidentiality expectations and HIPAA requirements Responsible for monitoring inventory and ensuring supplies are stocked Update and maintain client contact information and records, as necessary Keep and maintain most current information training on patient urine collections Check-in daily and provide weekly updates of account information with office staff including the lab's technologists and/or manager, as directed Adhere to all State and Federal laws, guidelines and regulations including compliance Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate effective communication skills in working with all department staff.
