We are seeking a Performance Engineering/IT Infrastructure Engineer for
immediate hire. The successful candidate will design and implement
solutions for our Performance Engineering and IT Infrastructure
service areas. These are founded on industry-leading vendor
relationships with performance engineering vendors such as Dynatrace,
Elastic, and Riverbed (Aternity); and IT Infrastructure vendors such as
Redhat, VMware, and AWS, as well as others. This requires knowledge and
skills that are both broad and deep. Experience with designing,
deploying and operationalizing performance architectures based on End
User Experience Monitoring (Dynatrace or Aternity in particular)
technologies is critical to this position. Experience in modern virtual
and cloud-based IT Infrastructures (AWS, VMware) as well as the
implementation and migration of compute resources to these environments
is highly desirable. To be effective this position must have experience
in all aspects of Performance Engineering and IT Infrastructure and be
comfortable interfacing with technical management as well as hands-on
engineers.
Successful candidates will need to be familiar with designing service
offerings, assessing client operations, facilitating workshops, and
public speaking. We are looking for an engineer who feels comfortable in
a pre-sales role as well as hands-on implementation.
This is an amazing opportunity for a technologist who thrives on

for the US Government and US citizens. Location for this position is in
the Washington DC metropolitan area (Northern Virginia, DC and
Maryland). Travel expectation is 30%. The US Public Sector office is in

*Technical/Business Knowledge*
* 12+ years IT experience; Domain competence in a least three
disciplines of Performance Engineering, Application Architecture,
Infrastructure Management, Cloud Migration,
Virtualization/Containers, Network Infrastructure, Site Reliability
Engineering, (SRE), Enterprise on-Prem/Virtual Storage.
* Full-stack knowledge is highly desired
* Understand and be conversant about company, its solutions, and
product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
* Working knowledge of continuous improvement and cultural development
* Must have a clear understanding of presales engineering support and
the skills and responsibilities of an AM and SE team
* Content creation and public speaking and presenting skills are
critical for success
* Proven track record of successful customer site deployment, testing,
and operational support
* Education typically requires (BS/BA (EE/CS) or STEM equivalent,
graduate degree preferred
* Vendor Certification in Dynatrace or Riverbed Aternity are highly
desirable
* Experience in native cloud development/deployment, containers,
legacy to cloud migration is highly desirable
* Certifications including ITIL, Redhat (Ansible/Openshift), VMware,
DevSecOps pipeline products, and other related vendor certifications
are desirable

Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:
Partner with existing production engineering teams to support the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in San Antonio, TX
Students will work with experienced engineers on project types that include Repair Industrialization, Tools and Fixture Design and Manufacture, and Process Improvement
Job Duties:
Students may be involved in one or many of the following:
Develop repairs for engine components.
Reprocess cost evaluation and recommendations for reduction.
Develop new engine component technology.
Write technical reports and procedures.
Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
Create electronic manual revisions.
Perform engine performance analysis.
Assist in engine and accessories troubleshooting.
Other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Completed engineering courses and education experience at the Junior level or above
Field of study MUST be
Mechanical or Aerospace
Computer Aided Design, Computer Programming, Data Querying experience.
Knowledge of MS Office products, to include Excel, Project, and Word
Excellent communication skills
Must be US Citizen due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Some education in or practical experience in the application of process improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.

* Efficiently inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, function tests, removes, reinstalls, and returns to service of aircraft engines and APUs using the proper tooling and test equipment in a safe, professional, and clean manner according to manufacturer's specifications, FAA regulations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures. Performs as an RII Inspector.
* Oversees, completes and maintains accurate and timely engine and project documentation including reviewing preliminary reports to ensure accuracy of forecasted and billed labor hours; reviewing work orders and invoices, etc. to ensure timely and accurate inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor and outside services are applied prior to billing.
* Assists with developing and maintaining relationships with area customers, communicating with sales and marketing personnel, and monitors the Company's customer database to seek and solicit engine service opportunities. Contacts and calls on customer for engine, APU, or other service support work to meet established financial goals. Responds to customer requests and issues regarding engine and APU service work.
* Manages all aspects of assigned engine projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the projects. Accepts full ownership of assigned projects from pre-planning to delivery of the engine through planning, prioritizing, and communicating with customers, Company personnel, OEM's, outside contractors and vendors, as necessary. Ensures the safety and security of customer's equipment during all maintenance phases.
* Assists with managing and maintaining adequate and appropriate parts inventory certification, calibration of assigned tooling, working condition and cleanliness of support vehicles.
* Be available to provide a continuation of service and be a point of contact for internal or external customers before or after scheduled hours of work.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required
* Must be a fully licensed A&P in good standing with the FAA
* Must have a minimum of four years of Corporate Aviation Maintenance focusing on engine/airframe maintenance experience
* Must have previous Lead Technician or AOG maintenance experience with a Corporate Flight Department, Business Jet Service Provider, MRO or OEM.

The Rapid Response Technician II, with some to limited supervision, assists with inspecting, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft and engine systems and components on a variety of corporate aircrafts, using Personal Protection Equipment, in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications. In addition, this position prepares and completes appropriate documentation and training logs in a timely manner. RII Inspector training completion required within six to nine months. Will perform as a Qualified Inspector within twelve months of hire following training requirements.
The RRT Technician II travels to the customer's location with a qualified team member to assist in performing (with some to limited supervision) on-wing inspection, troubleshooting, and to repair of engine/aircraft components on various corporate jets across the United States and internationally. This position interacts with customers and collaborates with Duncan team members to provide exceptional customer service and rapid response 24/7. Applicants should have some experience working on these corporate aircraft and engines
Essential Job Functions
