Studies must be done in a timely manner and taken to the radiologist for interpretation as soon as possible after completion of exam. Writes time procedure is finished and filmed on patient board. Films must be archived and taken to radiologist for reading. Obtains appropriate supplies and prepares room for patient. Keeps room cleaned and stocked at all times. Adequate supplies and linens must always be available. Cleans tables and trays after each patient. Uses proper technique when injection IV contrast. Ensures IV is working and checked first with an injection of saline. Chooses correct method of injection (hand or injector). 3D imaging and multiplanar reconstruction. Responds to codes and other emergency situations appropriately. Explains CT procedure to patient and/or family member. Obtains completed questionnaire and proper history and clinical from patient, floor or physician's office. Informs patients and families of all delays. Trains co-workers and students. Assists other technologists when not busy in assigned CT room. Acquires requisition and checks for appropriate clinical. Charges procedure, supplies and surgical codes when exam is completed. Indicates no-film badge wearing name and fluoro time. Adds surgical charges when needed. Operates the PAC's system appropriately and verify studies before sending to archive. Reports equipment problems to supervisor, in-charge tech and documents confirmation numbers. Appropriate forms must be completed for all procedures. Fill out contrast sheet on all patients receiving IV and rectal contrast. A contrast media form must be filled out on all patients, CT forms must be filled out on all patients. Communicates with radiologist to determine appropriate protocols for each exam. Correct protocols are utilized as prescribed by the radiologist. Procedures must be performed as directed by the radiologist. Correct scans as performed. Demonstrates recognition of anatomy and pathology as related to scan being processed. Perform warm up calibrations. Utilizes correct protocols prescribed by the radiologist. Performs procedures as directed by the radiologist. Corrects scans as performed. Demonstrates recognition of anatomy and pathology as related to scan being processed. Performs warm up calibrations. Performs point of care testing. Performs other duties as assigned. The CT technologist performs CT examinations on IP, OP, and ECC patients. Exams are performed per approved radiologist protocol. The technologist obtains patient history, explains procedure, obtains IV access, injects contrast in addition to operating the CT scanner. The CT technologist will perform all duties within the department to include standard exams, biopsies, and other special exams as deemed necessary. An MRI Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist) operates MRI machines to create detailed images of the inside of a patient's body, which are used by doctors to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. MRI Technologists are responsible for positioning patients correctly, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining equipment, and providing high-quality images while delivering compassionate care. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Procedure Preparation: Review the patient's medical history, doctor's orders, and any previous imaging studies to ensure the appropriate MRI procedure is conducted. Explain the MRI procedure to the patient, addressing any questions or concerns to reduce anxiety. Ensure that all necessary documentation, including informed consent forms and patient information, is completed before the procedure. Duties & Responsibilities * Delivers planned course of radiotherapy accurately. * Apply principles of basic radiation physics, radiation interaction and radiation protection. * Verify physician prescribed course of radiation therapy. * Operates therapeutic equipment and maintains patient records. * Practices aseptic techniques when necessary. * Observes clinical progress of patients and reports any signs of complications to the radiation oncology nurse. * Assists oncologist as needed.
