Keep current on hotel policies concerning room/sign rates, group and other discounts and special offerings.
Maintain proficiency in all location computer and software systems.
Issue room keys, identify and explain room features to guests. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation and local areas of interest.
Run reports of room availability/inventory management and guest accounts and post payments to guest folios.
Perform bookkeeping activities including running reports and posting payments to guest folios.
Respond to guest comments or complaints, referring customers to GM as necessary.
Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
Know the property's emergency procedures and respond to any/all emergency situations (police, fire, emergency responder, weather, building - electrical outage, water line breaks, etc.) in a timely manner.
Assist other associates in completing their respective duties, as necessary, to achieve guest ready rooms, public areas and outstanding customer service.
Clean and maintain lobby area, entrance doors, sidewalks, and emergency exit.
Work in laundry room area loading and unloading washers and dryers and folding linens.
Wear appropriate attire per the dress code.
Notify GM or Maintenance Support of any needed repairs.
May serve as Manager-on-Duty in GM and AGM absence.
May be asked to stay on site in the event of a catastrophe.
Other duties as assigned.

Be able to work independently and serve as key role for overnight hotel support
Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards
Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
Balance the day's business in a neat, orderly, and timely fashion
Be able to work all night, and also be available for other shifts at front desk when necessary
Have knowledge of all hotel systems including phone PBX, key lock, and PMS reservation systems
Can complete all tasks described on the relevant shift check list
Check credit of guest accounts daily and follow up if action is required
Must have knowledge of surrounding area
Keep cash drawer secure and in balance throughout the shift
Sell and upsell rooms to walk-in guests and phone reservations
Have general knowledge of housekeeping

Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests making reservations preparing daily reports balancing transactions and conducting security walks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
Comply at all times with company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
Run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit.
Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
Balance the day's work (i.e. movie revenue telephone postings valet laundry server's and desk agent's paperwork etc.).
Maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures according to company's standards.
Maintain Front Office computer system operation according to company standards.
Fulfill all Front Office functions between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Follow up to ensure periodic checks by the security guards are made of building and guest corridors to ensure all areas are locked and secured (property specific)
Handle and follow through on all guest requests daily from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
Follow safety and emergency procedures according to company's standards.
Maintain proper record keeping (i.e. log books etc.) to company's standards.
Be familiar with all company's policies and procedures.
Complete the initial direct bills daily and place on the Property Accountant's desk; Attach all folio/banquet check back-up to the bills.
Maintain radio contact with other associates during entire shift.
Have a working knowledge of security procedures.
Ensure associates are at all times attentive friendly helpful and courteous to all guests managers and fellow associates.
Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed.
Transfer the master or house accounts as necessary.
Distribute work (i.e. revenue printouts charge and paid folios vouchers and checks etc.) as directed.
Train any new Night Auditors as requested by management.
Follow up to ensure that nightly walk-through includes removal of all room service trays and straightening lobby area (property specific)
Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standard.
Complete any reports as requested by management in a timely manner.
Complete any miscellaneous duties as required
Attend meetings as required by management.
Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or any other member of management.
