Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing the activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
Ensure compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes.
Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills
Complete/Review in process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintenance of technical data and support documentation
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalation of production flow disturbances
Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
Assessment of individual performance in regards to the continuous improvement (AAI)
Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives (including deviation and change control management)
Requirements:

Summary:
The Media Process Technician I / Formulation Technician I will work within a team to manufacture dehydrated and liquid cell culture media.
The technician will follow batch record instructions, weigh raw materials from micrograms to kilograms, calibrate equipment, operate milling equipment, perform sterile filtration, and conduct standard product testing such as osmolality, pH, and turbidity.
The role involves collaboration with R&D, procurement, quality, process technology, marketing, and both internal and external customers and vendors.
Responsibilities
Stage and compound raw materials within weight tolerances (micrograms to kilograms).
Operate milling, blending, and aseptic liquid filling equipment.
Monitor and document process control procedures for manufacturing dehydrated and liquid media per GMP and departmental guidelines.
Complete all required documentation neatly, accurately, and in accordance with GMP.
Perform cleaning, inspection, calibration, and assist in equipment maintenance; maintain related logs and records.
Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Handle raw materials in compliance with GMP and safety requirements.
Use laboratory equipment such as pipettors, balances, osmometers, turbidimeters, and pH meters.
Perform tasks safely to ensure an injury- and incident-free workplace.
Follow through on assigned responsibilities under supervision.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
