Examine materials delivered to production departments to verify they meet required specifications. Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules through the BAAN system. Calculate material quantities needed to complete job orders using knowledge of product and manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate manual or computerized records such as inventory logs, in-process production reports, and material status/locations. Move or transport materials between departments manually or using material-handling equipment as needed. Coordinate delivery dates with suppliers to optimize warehouse space and receiving resources. Ensure inventory racks (including gravity flow racks in the warehouse and packaging area) are clean, organized, and functioning properly daily. Work closely with the Production Scheduler/Raw Material Supervisor to maintain accurate on-hand inventory and ensure timely, correct inventory movements in support of production needs. Meet all HACCP, BRC, and FSMA requirements. Practice and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); ensure annual GMP training for all supervised employees.
