DESCRIPTION The CNC Machinist/Programmer operates as a skilled, intermediate-level technician within the manufacturing department. This role produces high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while maintaining safety, quality, and documentation standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan machining operations by studying blueprints, materials, specifications, and assembly drawings. Program CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting zero and reference points, and defining work offsets. Perform calculations involving geometry and trigonometry to support precise machining operations. Verify setups and part conformance by inspecting first-run and in-process workpieces. Maintain specifications by observing operations and making adjustments to meet quality requirements. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
