Responsibilities As a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer, you will utilize ultrasound equipment to help create quality images for obstetrical and gynecologic physicians to interpret during exams. This aspect of perinatal care includes setting up and adjusting diagnostic equipment, educating patients, verifying the accuracy of patient information, and performing technical data entry as necessary. Maternal fetal medicine sonographers focus on taking diagnostic images and matters directly related to that. Perform ultrasound type procedures and examinations with guidance from the physician. Exert independent judgment and interpretation of the anatomy they are scanning. Ensure proper patient care and safety while the patient is in their care. Assist providers as necessary during ultrasound procedures. Follow Universal Protocol/Golden Moment when doing procedures. Ensure compliance of documentary guidelines of ultrasound scans and other medical records as pertains to the imaging procedure or examination i.e., patient consent forms when appropriate, and patient clinical history data. Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-bed acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for our Ultrasound Department. This is a per diem, 8-hour day shift position reporting to the Supervisor of Imaging and Director of Imaging Services. Responsibilities The Ultrasound Tech, relying on their own knowledge and judgment and with minimal supervision by the Radiologist and Radiology Supervisor, performs all ultrasound scans procedures including OB, ABD, small parts and vascular procedures. The ultrasound tech will perform all ultrasound procedures and vascular ultrasound and will demonstrate the ability to produce high quality images, and will assist the radiologists with interventional procedures. The ultrasound tech will monitor all equipment use and perform other assigned duties. The candidate will follow an assigned schedule, which will require weekend rotation as well as be required to rotate on a regular call shift to meet department needs as determined by management. Qualifications Certificate from an accredited curriculum for Medical Ultrasonography or ARDMS certification, or a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, is required. BLS (AHA) required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Breast Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high level of technical skill, professionalism, and patient care within a fast-paced outpatient healthcare clinic environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including but not limited to breast ultrasound. Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust controls to obtain optimum imaging as directed by the provider's order. Review patient history and physician's instructions to ensure appropriate diagnostic information is obtained. Position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images. Accurately document and label ultrasound images and submit for physician interpretation. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly maintained. Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding exam findings when appropriate. Assist in the development and maintenance of imaging protocols and quality assurance processes. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required (e.g., RDMS, RVT). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical breast ultrasound experience. Proficient in performing a variety of ultrasound exams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
