Engagements for Senior Tax Accountants include:
Assist the supervisor of an engagement wherever possible
Delegate appropriate level of work to staff and communicate such to the engagement supervisor
Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty
Prepare more complex tax returns (including international tax) - corporations, including S Corps, partnerships, individuals, fiduciary, non-profit and retirement plans
Review basic tax returns and extensions
Provide more complex tax research
Become proficient in preparing Canadian related returns, both individual and business
Train and supervise staff accountants in tax preparation
The salary range for this position is $70,000 -$85,000 dependent on experience.

Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and review accounting and workpapers through trial balance in advance of tax return preparation
Work effectively with partners and all team members to develop solutions for our clients' needs

Provide tax planning and special projects that require analysis, judgment and creative thinking
Maintain an understanding of relevant multi state tax and foreign compliance policies
Keep up with industry best practices and tax law updates
Assist in federal and state tax audits

Required Qualifications:
College degree in accounting or similar field
Certified Public Accountant designation
Minimum of 7 years' experience in public accounting
Experience working in a mid to large sized firm
Experience with partnership tax matters, including capital account maintenance under the 704(b) regs, 1040, 1031 exchanges, 1041 trust, S-Corp, 754 elections, section 163(j) and 199A
Experience and strong proficiency in Excel and a paperless office experience
Software experience in the following areas is desirable: Lacerte, QuickBooks and CCH Engagement.

Correspondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or tax audits

Assist with tour preparation and planning, including budgets and state, local and international tax clearances, and reductions for touring artists

Qualifications
4+ years in preparation and/or review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for preferably entertainment and HNW individuals
Bachelor's degree is required
Master's degree, with 4+ years in a similar role is highly preferred
Familiarity with Go Systems, Agilink, and/or CCH is preferred
CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus
Organization skills with a high attention to detail is necessary
Capability to learn new systems and process information quickly
