A Day In The Life
Strategic Leadership & Market Development
Develop and execute both short- and long-term plans to grow market share.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and use these insights to define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new offerings in the substation and transmission connectors space.
Define marketing requirements based on sales and market intelligence to identify gaps and expand the product line.
Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and go-to-market strategies for new product offerings.
Collaborate with other Hubbell Business Units to develop integrated One-Hubbell solutions, focusing on transmission assemblies and application-based solutions for electric utility substation and transmission opportunities.
Sales & Customer Support
Serve as the single point of contact for the Hubbell Sales Team, Customer Service, and customers-coordinating internally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and planning to gather information and resolve issues. The Product Manager is responsible for managing the internal communication loop and developing the commercial response to Sales, Customer Service, and the customer.
Support the Sales Team, Customer Service, and customers in day-to-day business by providing expert application knowledge, resolving technical issues, offering cross-references, delivering training on product functionality and applications, sharing insights on product approvals, and assisting with bid packages.
Provide sales forecasting and planning for assigned regions.
Develop pricing strategies for standard SKUs and project bids to drive revenue and profitability, working closely with the Pricing Team to implement these strategies.
Product Development & Engineering Collaboration
Lead Application Engineers in developing drawings, specifications, and exceptions for quoted transmission projects.
Work with engineering teams to design compliant transmission assemblies based on customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
Collaborate with Technical Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to streamline and optimize product SKUs.
Marketing & Documentation
Support the creation and maintenance of marketing materials such as catalogs, brochures, cross-reference tools, and product launch documents.
Provide essential details for quotations, including pricing, class codes, drawings, and test reports.
Review and update customer product specifications and maintain organized customer files.

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Preference towards to at least 2+ years of industry experience associated with high voltage Substation and Transmission products.
Other electric utility industry experience will be taken into consideration as a substitute. Ideally, would have Application or Product Engineering experience prior to entering this role.
If that experience is very limited or if not in the areas of these products, experience may need to be gained through an initial training period at Hubbell.
Customer visits will be required occasionally for collaborating on major projects, promoting new products, training, and various other business activities.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and urgent timelines associated with wide range of job responsibilities.
Good communication skills both verbally and through writing (presentations, sales/customer training, quote documents, business opportunity plans, emails, etc.).

Position Summary:
The Assistant Equipment Manager will assist the Equipment Manager in leading and assisting the team, and be responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, parts and inventory, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The Assistant Equipment Manager will be a hands-on guide, training, coaching, and assisting the Equipment Mechanic and team in the repair and maintenance of turf equipment and vehicle fleets, parts fabrication, and parts and equipment inventory. Essential Job Functions:

Basic Job Functions:
The Nucor Technical Academy is a training program designed to teach electrical maintenance fundamentals and to train a person with a high school diploma (or GED) to the level of a maintenance electrician within a two-year (27 month) training period. The training program is a compilation of education, culture, ideas and current training programs that exist throughout Nucor. This training provides the necessary classroom instruction and includes structured hands-on training to ensure the person is prepared to enter the workforce as a Maintenance Electrician. Responsibilities will include hands-on assignments working with experienced Nucor Maintenance Team Members.
*Note: The Nucor Technical Academy is located and administered at Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa, Inc. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Selected candidates will begin academic coursework online and participate in limited on-the-job training at their sponsoring Nucor division in the first summer and initial fall. Candidates will relocate to Tuscaloosa before the initial spring semester where they will remain for five continuous semesters. While in Tuscaloosa, candidates will take technical courses and participate in on-the-job training at Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa. Selected candidates will have opportunities to return to sponsoring divisions in between semesters until graduation.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Training Program Requirements:
Current high school transcript (2.75 GPA preferred). Including the first semester of your senior year in High School.

This individual will be one of the first hiring and will play a critical role in the setup and commissioning of new equipment. The Technician will follow up with contractors during building upgrades, power, and utilities installation, also will communicate with local vendors to create fixtures, workstations, prototype parts, etc. Additionally, the Technician will assist in the commissioning of new equipment, learning everything about the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and programming of the machines. This person will also be responsible for training the next hires on how to operate the equipment. Responsible for helping create a new innovation lab inside the factory to promote quick learnings and quick design validations. This professional will be the right hand of the plant leader, with great career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the commissioning of new equipment, help to run when required and become the most knowledge person for anything related to the equipment, from uploading files, troubleshooting, tooling change overs, up to maintenance.
* Follow up with contractors during building upgrades, power, and utilities installation.
* Communicate with local vendors to create fixtures, workstations, prototype parts, etc.
* Learn everything about the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and programming of the machines.
* Train the next hires on how to operate the equipment.

Qualifications:

* Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, and process flow optimization.
* Sheet metal fabrication experience (rollforming, bending, cutting) preferred.
* 50lb lifting is required
* High School Education Degree or equivalent
