This includes handling rolls of paper for the Web press. Level I Pressmen are responsible for setup and operation of the back ends of Web and Harris presses. They should be able to make print registration and quality adjustments. Level I Pressmen must know how to perform pre and post Make-Ready tasks including gumming plates and preparing inks. Assists press crew on roller changes, press maintenance and press cleaning. Required to wash plates, blankets and back cylinders before, during and after press runs. This position requires mathematical and mechanical skills and the ability to recognize color differences.
