POSITION SUMMARY: This position requires the individual to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install commercial HVAC and related equipment as assigned. The individual must also assume day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects as assigned to ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost-effective manner. Able to follow and utilize troubleshooting guides to identify problems in a short period of time Consistently checks system operations and safety and limit controls before leaving job locations Ensures customers' questions/concerns have been addressed before leaving the work site Uses proper tools and instruments while troubleshooting Incorporates solution techniques to assist other service representatives and helps resolve issues and customer problems Schedules arrival and departure with customers Communicates tactfully to offer suggestions if system problems are caused by the customer Demonstrates ability to determine priorities based on a call schedule, responding to inadvertent interruptions, carrying proper tools and materials, and scheduling vehicle maintenance Promptly and accurately completes all required paperwork Keeps supervisor and manager informed of new developments, changes, or customer complaints Completes service reports daily: obtains customer signature on all service reports Signs up for memberships and technical organizations to improve knowledge and skills Keeps technical knowledge current regarding equipment and concepts Searches out and reads applicable manuals REQUIREMENTS: Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built-up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, controls systems, boilers, air handling systems, refrigeration, and controls. Universally EPA Certified Minimum of 5 years experience with maintenance of commercial HVAC systems Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record as required by the company's insurance provider. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Layout, design and install low voltage/ high voltage wiring. Compile a complete materials list from blueprints. Verify and coordinate HVAC building code compliance. Communicate clearly, the ideas and explanations of problems to customers and coworkers. Train, instruct and oversee other team members. Present training seminars and classes for in-house meetings. Troubleshooting equipment; make repair and replace decisions. Acquire commercial and residential planned maintenance agreements. Calculate equipment efficiency and operating costs. Position Summary Responsible for servicing HVAC mechanical equipment, performing system diagnostics and repairs, conducting equipment start-ups, and providing advanced technical troubleshooting. Performs inspections and quality control reviews on RK Service work to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability. Role Responsibilities * Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems * Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in large-scale commercial equipment * Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and code compliance * Troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS), controls, and sensors * Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics * Perform detailed system inspections and identify deficiencies or potential failures * Complete quality control inspections on completed service work to ensure company standards are met * Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime for commercial clients * Accurately document service activities, findings, and repair recommendations * Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes * Communicate technical information clearly with facility managers, engineers, and project teams Qualifications * Indirect Supervision. * Hold and retain relevant H/CFC universal license * Experience with RTU's, Boilers, MAU's, AHU's, Fans, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VAV/FPB's.
