ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Lead the design/development/adaptation of existing electronic brake component/system designs to new/existing OEM customer applications. Provide design innovations and technical leadership as needed to achieve project goals. Maintain design ownership of project from concept through product manufacturing launch. Direct customer communication. Work collaboratively with local and global development and test teams. Lead and conduct customer level functional requirements analysis. Conduct system level and vehicle level performance tests. Perform parameter calibration and modification. Lead/execute software quality review/open issue follow-up during development phase. Conduct verification of control software and validation testing. ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS/ REQUIRMENTS: 4+ years in brake control system development and embedded software development. Working in automotive system engineering. History of working with North American OEMs. Experience in Graphical User Interface development, preferably using Matlab and/or Simulink. Experience in digital and analog control implementation. Exposure to automotive vehicle launch. Two or more years in a functional safety environment. Test track experience in developing brake control systems (ABS, Stability Control, etc.) Development/application of electric parking brake products/systems. Vector Tools (ETAS etc.) and CAN protocol. Electric motors (design, control, testing, modeling), sensors, switches, connectors, and ECUs. Skills for finding and solving complex issues on vehicles and simulation workbenches. Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills. High level of oral and written communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.) EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: BS/MS in an Engineering discipline. Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: A typical work week is 45 hours/week. Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am- 9am M-F. Possibility of 1 night meeting per week to coordinate with Korea WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
