Job Requirements The Health First Patient Observer is fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness of stroke care delivery for HRMC; by providing supervision/observation of a patient when he/she requires a Form 52: Baker Act Declaration, Suicide Precautions are indicated, or any time it is determined that a patient's safety may be jeopardized without supervision/observation.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
* Immediately reports clear, concise, pertinent information to the charge nurse or nurse assigned to patient that relates to the patient's condition; immediately alerts nursing staff of any impending safety issues.
* Remains alert to the patient during the entire shift, respects patient's personal belongings, and never leaves the patient unattended unless approved by the patient's nurse.
* Utilizes clear and effective communication skills in professional interactions with all health care associates, patients and families.
* Completes bedside shift report with charge or primary nurse and off-going or oncoming patient observer at beginning and end of shift as appropriate. Otherwise, reports directly to the charge or primary nurse at beginning of shift for expectations regarding specific behavioral and restraining instructions and gives a summary report at end of shift.
* Maintains a professional, neutral position in all conversations with the patient and/or family.
* Assists with patient care, such as toileting and fall prevention, at the request of the professional nursing staff.

Assist with managing patient flow and appointment schedules
Prepare and stock exam rooms, clean and sanitize between patients and at end of the day
Understands, and can assist with new patient paperwork

Organized with ability to multitask
Rooming patients to include vital signs, weights, medication review, etc.
Medication refills when directed by physician
Proper documentation and updating of medical records
Assist with medical procedure such as joint injections, ear lavages, basic dermatological procedures, suturing, splinting, and other office procedures.
Calling patients with lab results or test results under the direction of the provider.
Obtain appropriate consents for procedures
Ability to triage calls and patient concerns
Maintain HIPAA guidelines, OSHA, Biomedical Waste
Familiar with the use Electronic Medical Records
Work in a team atmosphere, communicating professionally and directly with all staff including multiple providers

Job Requirements The Medical Assistant Certified provides and ensures patients receive whole care in all aspects of an office visit, regarding intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, closure of care gaps (additional duties as assigned) while delivering excellent customer service to the patients/families
and other care providers, while focusing on patient-centered care.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
1. Accurately prepares and performs point of care testing such as urine dipstick, blood glucose,
etc. Perform clinical intake to include vital signs, medical history, surgical history, social history,
and verification of patient's current medications.
2. Prepare and administer medications as ordered by provider utilizing the "6 Rights" of Medication
Administration, to include documentation and coding. Controlled substances, insulin and allergy
doses must be checked by LPN, RN or provider.
3. Assist in stocking and ordering of supplies as well as maintenance of equipment. Coordinates
medical supply ordering with site manager.
4. Prepare patients for examination and have pre-work available for provider as directed, to include
notes, diagnostic test results and imaging.
5. Prepare and perform point of care testing and/or specimen collection as directed by provider.
6. Track and communicate to patients, labs, and diagnostic studies results, as directed by the
provider through phone calls, portal messages or EMR buckets. Communicates to physician
abnormal findings retrieved from the lab, imaging, specialty offices, etc. and completes accurate
documentation.
7. Follow safety processes and policies including applying proper infection prevention procedures,
maintaining a clean environment and equipment, to ensure proper care is given. Complete and
document adverse events, infection control and quality control measures as required. Complies
with office policy and procedure, OSHA Standards and HIPAA Privacy Regulations as Deliver
excellent customer service to the patients/families and other care providers.
8. Maintains patient flow after check in. Discuss patient flow with physician according to urgency
and daily patient load. Ability to assist more than one provider at a time.
9. May provide coverage in other areas of medical group or office to support other departmental
needs including patient registration, payment collections, patient checkout and appointment
scheduling
10. Complies with all office policy and procedures, OSHA Standards and HIPAA Privacy
Regulations as stated in HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual.
11. Answer internal and external customer phone calls and direct messages to the appropriate
individuals. Ensure all documentation is complete and documented in the Electronic Medical
Record. Act as a liaison between support services and other clinical divisions.
12. Provide customer follow up and education to ensure customer's participation in their care and
showing respect for their needs. Adjust communications to meet the customer's needs,
expectations, age, culture, and individual differences.

Job Requirements The Cardiographic Technician is responsible for conducting and interpreting electrocardiogram (EKG) test and supports cardiac diagnostic procedures to ensure accurate assessment of the heart function. The Cardiographic Technician will maintain clear communication, ensuring timely reporting, while
upholding equipment standards, and plays a vital role in facilitating patient-centered cardiac
diagnostics, and optimal outcomes to promote wellness of Health First patients.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
1. Takes patient medical history, explains the procedure, and positions the patient appropriately forthe EKG recording.
2. Accurately places electrodes on the patient's body to capture the electrical activity of the heart.
3. Operates the EKG machine to record a clear and accurate tracing of the heart rhythm.
4. Recognizes common heart rhythm abnormalities like atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia,and heart blocks on the EKG tracing.
5. Assists the physician with patient preparation and monitoring during stress tests and stressechocardiograms.
6. Analyzes the EKG tracing for basic abnormalities and identifying potential cardiac issues.
7. Prepares a report for the physician detailing the findings of the EKG.
8. Ensures proper functioning of the EKG machine and maintaining cleanliness.
9. Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimalpatient care.
10. Maintains appropriate reading times.
11. Contacts physicians for reading, including but not limited to STAT, Pending DC, critical findings,and delinquent reads.
12. Contacts affiliate organizations such as pediatric hospitals/cardiologists for reads.
