Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training, and evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications. * Identifies and prepares patients using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered. Exhibits awareness of hazards which may endanger patients. Ensures adherence to and enforces radiation safety standards. Annually meets all required department specific competencies. * Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology and uses this knowledge to enhance hemodynamic and angiographic techniques as observed by the attending physician. * Recognizes and communicates the electrocardiographic/ hemodynamic changes to the physician and appropriate staff members throughout the procedure.
