Job Requirements The Surgery Center Department Office Assistant Scheduler is to be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Stewardship, and a Memorable Customer Experience by providing exceptional customer and team support in a professional, memorable and timely manner.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
* Associate supports engagement through adherence to the Health First I CARE values.
* Pre-registers, pre-certifies and registers patients accurately and in a timely manner, with no incomplete information, including right patient, right procedure.
* Assembles charts accurately, labels with correct patient name, correct orders and other various records, correct charge information on chart.
* Prints, sorts, and organizes paperwork, reports and/or materials to be sent out.
* May assist with data entry into reports, creation and maintaining of databases, spreadsheets, and other documents using a variety of software applications.
* May be responsible for mail pickup and dating mail received.
* Orders and maintains adequate amount of medical and office supplies. May maintain documentation of service on equipment and report all malfunctions of equipment to the appropriate area, supervisor and/or associate.
* Processes and maintains all schedules for area of responsibility, runs schedules daily, and sends to appropriate departments and/or individuals in a timely manner. In a professional manner, communicates accurate data to other departments and external physician offices a required, regarding schedule changes.
* Assist with completion of paperwork, processing of paperwork, materials or patients and responsible for filing, retrieving materials from existing files, and creating new files when appropriate. Document patient record when necessary.
* Assists with area clerical duties such as typing, photocopying, filing, scanning and faxing documents, medical records, reports and other materials.
* Demonstrates ability to work with money, credit cards, and checks to collect appropriate Co-Pays, payments and log receipt appropriately. Ability to explain to patients their financial commitments.
* Provides general reception duties. Greets and assists customers in a timely and courteous manner. Directs calls to the appropriate party and transfers the call when appropriate. Takes complete and accurate messages for area personnel not available.Responds to phone messages in a timely manner.

The Radiology Coordinator supervises, coordinates and oversees the daily operations, workflow, customer service and quality control of imaging services within the Urgent Care modality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with the health system policies, protocols and standards.
Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.
Provides a high level of expertise to mentor staff/students and problem solving.
Perform regular QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
Perform regular QA checks for each technician. Provide coaching and additional training when necessary.

Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing

Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required.
One to three years leadership experience including coaching and counseling staff, and developing staff schedules.

Plays a key role in the organization's financial health by obtaining or ensuring that insurance authorizations or pre-authorizations are on file and accurate prior to the service being rendered. This position must also ensure patient demographic and insurance information is correct, resulting in accurate claims for reimbursement. Position provides excellent customer service during all interactions.
Core Job Responsibilities
For designated services, this position is responsible for ensuring that each patient account has accurate insurance information entered in the correct billing order and that each insurance listed has been verified as eligible for the designated date of service range. For each insurance, benefit information is obtained and documented. Verification and benefit information can be obtained via electronic or verbal method but must be completed prior to services being rendered. Position must have or develop excellent working rapport with surgeons' office staff, as well as hospital nursing staff.
For pre-scheduled services, this position is responsible for verifying that authorization is on file with each of the appropriate insurance companies and that authorization is accurate based upon location, CPT code, service type, surgeon, date range and any or all other necessary elements to secure payment for services rendered. For emergent or urgent services, this position is responsible for accurately and timely requesting that each verified insurance company has been notified of patient services being rendered and also request authorization for requested services. Position must have or develop excellent working rapport with insurance company representatives, surgeons' office staff, as well as hospital nursing staff.

Requirements:
CNA, HHA, or caregiving experience (home care or assisted living)
Level 2 Background Check (or ability to pass one)
CPR Certification
Alzheimers, HIV/AIDS, and Assistance with Medication Certificates
DOEA Training Certificate & TB Test
Valid Drivers License & Reliable Transportation
MUST speak and understand English
