AARS/HR 360 Youth Mental Health Clinical Therapist supports people in our community who are most impacted by mental health limitations and poverty - many of whom are affected by mental health issues and substance use. Clinical Therapist will carry a caseload and provide treatment to clients ages 6-21. The Clinical Therapist will participate in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and support our community by providing compassionate, integrated care, at a personal and caring level. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Clinical Therapist will be responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans and monitoring client's treatment progress. In addition, the Clinical Therapist will be documenting and maintaining accurate records in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360. Participation in individual and group supervision is mandatory. Conducting community outreach will also be a vital part of the role. Valid California driver's license. Ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with substance use treatment including certification/registration with a Drug and Alcohol Certification program recognized by DHCS. Mental Health Therapist Department: Reports To: Program Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor Full-Time paid position with benefits in Woodland Hills for Associate MFT or MSW (post-master's degree) with a current BBS registration number or recently licensed LMFT or LCSW. Staff will work with the FSP wrap around team of mental health clinicians, case managers, psychiatrists, and primary care team. . North County Serenity House (NCSH), a residential program of HealthRIGHT 360, was founded in 1966 to provide substance use disorder services in the community. NCSH provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treat both conditions as primary. Our residential facility serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from substance use disorders. The Therapist I holds a valid registration from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Their duties encompass conducting clinical assessments, making diagnoses, devising treatment plans, executing interventions, handling crises, and organizing discharge plans. They collaborate closely with other team members to ensure optimal client care, aligning with HealthRIGHT 360's ethos, objectives, policies, mission, and vision. Pomona TAY program - Transitional age youth is ages 16-25, referral and criteria only based. The program is 18-24 months intense stabilizing program to get on medication, stabilize, reduce/eliminate hospitalizations, and prepare for step down to a lower level of care. Clients must be referred to our program via DMH and must meet criteria to be accepted (psychosis, homelessness, history of hospitalizations, co-occurring). FSP is the highest level of care a client can receive before a psychiatric hospitalization. The goal is to work towards independence and stability before graduating/stepping down. Prototypes, a program of HealthRIGHT 360's residential substance use disorder (SUD) program is a new program contracted with Department of Public Health's (DPH) Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program for residential drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for up to 99 adult men and women: 33 that are for men who are judicially involved, 33 for men, and 33 for women. The BHC's residential DMC program will employ 100 people and works closely with the other BHC programs to provide a continuum of services for low income/Medi-Cal population. The program is located on the campus of Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles and will serve all LA County residents. The Clinical Therapist I is a registered professional who maintains a current registration with the BBS or CBP. The Clinical Therapist I is responsible for clinical assessment(‘s), diagnoses, treatment plan(‘s), intervention(‘s), crisis intervention(‘s), and discharge planning. The Clinical Therapist I works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure best possible treatment outcome for the client and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360's philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision. The Clinical Therapist I may provide treatment utilizing different modalities including individual, group and family therapy. Services may be provided in: outpatient office, residential treatment, or the field, based on client and program need. The Clinical Therapist I participates in the on-call rotation and may be required to respond after hours. Key Responsibilities Direct Service: Provides thorough clinical assessment(‘s) and diagnoses. Works with the client to develop the client centered treatment plan(‘s). Monitors treatment progress and updates the treatment plan as needed. Addresses mental health and/or substance abuse symptoms using individual, group, and/or family treatment. Provides thoughtful discharge planning to ensure the client safely transitions. Provides crisis assessment and intervention as needed. Seeks clinical consultation throughout the treatment episode and when encountering new and/or high risk clinical circumstance. Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team including the Case Manager, Counselor, Medical, and Psychiatrist. Maintains frequent communication with the treatment team and engages in regular consults, clinical team, case conferences, and plan development meetings. Delivers services in outpatient, residential, or field depending on assignments and client need. Assists with crisis assessment, crisis intervention, and symptom management within assigned programs by providing 24-hour 7 day per week after-hours coverage on rotation with other Clinical Therapists. Meets expected client care hours (productivity expectation is 25 client care hours per week). Clinical Documentation: Write and complete all progress notes within 72 hours of service delivery. Maintains compliance with due dates for all clinical documentation including: assessment, treatment plan, treatment plan updates, re-assessments, discharges, outcome measures, and other clinical documents Writes client progress letters and court reports and obtains final approval from the supervisor. Documentation must maintain in compliance with agency policy and procedures, HIPAA, 42-CFR, DMH, and SAPC standards. Completes all assigned URC's within a timely matter. Training, Supervision and Quality Improvement: Maintains full compliance with BBS or CPB regulations. Attends and actively participates in Clinical Group Supervision. Actively participates in agency and team meetings. Participates in training opportunities and pursues certifications in Evidence Based Practices. Communicates collaboratively with all members of the behavioral health team including: medical, mental health, psychiatry, substance use disorder, and other staff. Completes all assigned trainings and Relias trainings in a timely manner. Professionalism and Other Duties : Arrange work schedule in accordance with the agency's needs. Attend regular staff meetings and other meetings as assigned. Reads emails daily and responds when appropriate. Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education Requirements: MSW, MFT, LPCC, or PsyD from a regionally accredited graduate school and registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the California Board of Psychology (CBP) and in good standing with the Board. Experience: Preferable a minimum of two years' experience providing DMH or SAPC services as a therapist. Preferable experience treating clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Knowledge of and experience with providing trauma informed services. Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Prototypes Women's Center-Oxnard is a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility that provides detoxification and residential substance abuse treatment to women, and women with children. Our goal is to help stabilize women in their recovery and transition them to outpatient services, stable housing, a support group and employment/school. We provide daily clinical and psychosocial groups, parenting skills, life skills and relapse prevention. We are licensed for 56 women and 29 children and are located on over 2 acres in Ventura County. Job Overview Our SUD Counselor Internship program is specifically for students enrolled in a Drug and Alcohol Studies Program through an accredited educational program. During their time in our programs, interns are able to observe the daily activities of a residential or outpatient SUD treatment program. Interns have an opportunity to shadow certified SUD Counselors and/or LPHAs during assessment, treatment planning, groups, classes, counseling sessions, and case management sessions. Interns will have an opportunity to attend treatment team meetings and learn about documentation requirements in an electronic health record system. Interns will also have opportunities to work with staff and support clients in their process towards recovery. All interns receive regular weekly supervision with a Certified/Licensed SUD Counselor in a Supervisory Role, Registered LPHA, or Clinical Supervisor in accordance with educational program requirements.
