The System Access Center's RN will be crossed trained to oversee and support all roles within the RRC Access Call Center. The Nurse's primary focus will be on the clinical assessment and the identifying the needs of the complex transfers. The RN will provide leadership and guidance to the Access Center coordinators. The Clinical nurse can share her critical expertise and provide direction for the Access coordinators. This position includes broad customer relations skills and will serve as the initial point of contact for internal and external customers for the Regional Referral Center. The RN will communicate and can dialogue with the referring and accepting physicians in order to comprehend and plan for the needs of this complex transfer. He/She has the clinical knowledge and skill to suggest and drive the admission process. The System Access Center RN will provide guidance, leadership, and clinical expertise for the System Access Center Coordinator (ASCC). The ASCC has the responsibility for coordinating all calls for Premier Health including all paging requests, consults, direct admits, and transfers from internal and external customers. The Access Coordinator will enter the on-call schedule for the various providers into the approved schedule data base as well as maintain it for any incremental changes.
