The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 28-bed unit specializing in structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, cardiac and vascular surgery, advanced heart failure and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Part of The Edith and Benson Ford Heart and Vascular Institute, one of the nation's largest and most successful heart failure and transplant programs, the unit provides complex care to high acuity patients from across the country.
