UNIT OVERVIEW:
Unit 35 - Medical/Telemetry Unit - 24 bed Medical Telemetry unit, all of our patients have cardiac monitoring, we see a wide variety of medical patients with multiple comorbidities such as: pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI, renal failure-acute and chronic, CHF, cardiac pt's with diagnostic procedures or medical management only, Afib, wound care, a few surgical and neuro pt's.
We have a high majority of geriatric pt. population with a high case mix. The only cardiac drip we run is Cardizem for Atrial fibrillation-which we see a lot of. We specialize in Peritoneal Dialysis and our nurses are specially trained for this.

We are a service center for excellence for both orthopedics and bariatrics. We have an excellent rapid recovery program for joint replacement patients, and most go home the day after surgery.
