PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates and maintains all assigned vehicles, single, tandem, or multi axle configurations, forklifts, etc in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
Loads and unloads trucks according to company policies and DOT regulations.
Ensures that all deliveries and pick-ups, and all associated documentation are made according to company expectations and standards.

Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load, secure and deliver propane, liquid fuel, and lubricants products deemed necessary by your supervisor. Must adhere to Sunrise standard operating procedures for loading and delivery of such products.

About the Role: Our main customer base is within a 500-mile radius of Upper Sandusky, OH. Nearly 65% of our customers are within a 150 miles of our manufacturing facility. This means most of our drivers are home every night.
Drivers average 1700 to 2200 miles per week
Transportation team members are paid a base rate per mile
Pay for new drivers are based on experience
In addition to their per mile pay, members of the Transportation Team are paid for loading and unloading bulk, bags and pallet deliveries, with extra premium for special equipment and short hauls
Who You Are:
Must be available to 2nd shift, weekends and overtime
DOT knowledge
Ability to meet tight schedules and handle multiple assignments
Must hold a valid CDL class "A" drivers license
At least one year of driving experience with a clean record and a solid work history (Semi/Tractor Trailer)
Tractor Trailer experience must be within the last couple of years

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load, secure and deliver propane, liquid fuel, and lubricants products deemed necessary by your supervisor. Must adhere to Sunrise standard operating procedures for loading and delivery of such products.
Inspect vehicle and documents on daily driver's report. Driver is responsible for regular scheduled and preventative maintenance on their assigned vehicle. Must keep all safety inspections current and all equipment in safe working order.
Keep assigned vehicles, equipment and work areas clean.
Adhere to all company and government policies and laws concerning transportation and handling of all products and be familiar with NFPA 58/.
Assist in repairs of facilities and equipment.
Accurately and efficiently complete all necessary paperwork.
Provide friendly, courteous customer service.
Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and foster enhanced public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
