In this part time Orthodontic Assistant opportunity, you will support our Orthodontist in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This position will work between our Thornton and Tower offices.
Schedule (days/hours)
2 Thursdays a Month 8am-5pm
Responsibilities
* Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the ultimate patient experience is delivered to every patient.
* Place and remove arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other orthodontic auxiliaries (as allowed by state regulations).
* Educate the patients on orthodontic care, headgear delivery and rubber band instructions.
* Assist in patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records to include Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays.
* Maintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor's notes accurately and assure home care instructions are clear to patients and/or guardian.
* Perform laboratory procedures including model pour up, trimming and fabricating clearn aligners.
* Keep chairs stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment.
Qualifications
* Colarado Xray certification required
* 1 year Ortho Assisting experience required
* CPR certified
Compensation
$20-$23/hr
