Summary Description:
The Assistant Manager's primary responsibility is to assist the Manager in the day-to-day summer operation of Cold River Camp, while maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and safe atmosphere for all guests and staff. The Assistant Manager works on-site for the start-up weeks and nine full-service weeks hosting guests, working with the manager to accomplish the tasks described below. What You'll Do at AMC
Guest Relations: Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Greet arrivals warmly, foster a sense of community, and maintain positive guest interactions. Serve as Camp host when the Manager is off duty, and co-host when both are present.
Camp Operations & Staff Management: Assist the Manager with Prep Week activities, including camp setup, cleaning, and staff training. Collaborate with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily operations throughout the season. Play an active role in maintaining high morale among staff by fostering a supportive and positive work environment. Work closely with the Manager to encourage open communication, recognize staff achievements, and provide guidance as needed. Ensure positive interactions with hike leaders and guests by setting a tone of hospitality and professionalism, reinforcing the camp's welcoming atmosphere. Together with the Manager, create a cohesive, motivated team that contributes to a positive, uplifting experience for both staff, hike leaders, and guests.
Croo Supervision: Oversee croo duties, including cabin service, building cleaning, and grounds maintenance. Manage the croo schedule, address concerns, and serve as the primary point of contact for staff-related inquiries. Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner by actively monitoring progress and offering support when needed. Be willing to step in and assist the croo with tasks or provide guidance to ensure the work is completed to standard. This may include helping with cleaning, meal service, and general camp upkeep during busy periods or when additional assistance is required.
Camp Maintenance Support: Assist with the ongoing maintenance of Camp facilities and grounds. Track necessary repairs, prioritize projects, and collaborate with the Manager on work schedules. Report issues requiring professional expertise to the Manager or CRC Chair.
Administrative Support: Assist with guest checkout processes, including collecting payments, settling weekly finances, and completing other administrative office tasks as needed. Take and complete new reservations, ensuring a smooth and efficient booking process. Contribute to the development and maintenance of camp policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and improve the guest experience. Collaborate with the Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies that streamline daily operations, helping to create a more organized and effective camp environment.
Reporting Relationships:
The Camp Assistant Manager works under the general supervision of the Cold River Camp Manager in the summer season.
Qualifications
What AMC is Looking for
Ability to stand, sit, bend at waist, carry up to 40 pounds, lift at least 25 pounds from floor level to waist level and operate food service and housekeeping appliances.
Ability to be able to climb stairs, walk uneven terrain among facilities spread around the property, and handle temperature extremes in this rustic setting.
Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
Ability to be a team player with a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in an inclusive environment.
Must be able to work at a computer and programs such as Word, Excel, Google Doc, Quickbooks, etc with a fairly high degree of proficiency.

Responsibilities
+ Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures, including factory standards and preventative maintenance of yard trucks.
+ Move and inspect trailers efficiently in the yard and dock, ensuring timely loading/unloading per pick ticket requirements.
+ Operate a yard truck and forklift to support shipping/receiving activities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic repairs, document adjustments, and maintain accurate reports.
+ Collaborate with warehouse, production, and quality teams to maximize efficiency, safety, and output quality.
+ Maintain strong peer relationships to support departmental and plant goals.
+ Execute recycling program tasks, including operating grinders and balers.
+ Utilize PC, SAP, and time management skills to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
+ Perform dock coordination, loading, and shipping duties as required.
Qualifications
+ Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
+ No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
+ Prior forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred with prior experience in manufacturing desired.
+ Exposure to warehouse inventory scanners and basic equipment maintenance preferred.
+ Ability to work self-directed - accomplish daily workload with minimal supervision.
+ Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment.
+ Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work.
+ Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus.

Job Description
Long Lake Marina is hiring. We are looking for a seasonal delivery captain. The delivery captain's primary responsibilities include the following:
Handle all functions of the final delivery of a customer's new or used boat. This will include an inspection of cleanliness, on water demonstration, review of operations, loading and unloading from the trailer, handling customer questions and concerns, and ensuring the customer is 100% satisfied with their purchase from Long Lake Marina.
If applicable, the delivery captain will travel over the road with trailer to the customer's house, a public boat ramp, or the customer's slip on their lake, and provide the same customer experience they would receive at the marina.
Additionally, the delivery captain reviews the final check list, has the customer sign off on various legal documents such a a pre delivery inspection form.
Alert the Sales department if any documents are missing prior to delivery.
Ensure 100% satisfaction before leaving.
Take a photo with the customer for social media.
Secondary responsibilities when not actively delivering a customer unit:
Help out on LLM gas dock
Deliver customer units
General marina upkeep
Test drive sales units as necessary
Assembly and installation of coast guard approved accessories on sales unit.
Yard maintenance and operations.
This is a full time seasonal position starting in May and ending on September 1st. Long Lake Marina delivers 250 new and used boats every season and this individual's full time job is to be out on the water with customer on their boat going over operations. Boat experience is required, certifications such as Maine Guide License, Coast Guard Certifications, and a successful boaters safety course completion will move you to the front of the line. Compensation is minimum wage plus a commission for every boat delivery.
