This opportunity entails being responsible for providing overall field contract administration and coordination on a program or project of a diverse and complex nature. Supervises assigned staff to verify that the Contractor's activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications and contractual requirements. Primary on-site liaison between Client, Company Personnel and Contractor for resolution of project issues. Typically responsible for running projects of $20M or greater in construction value and key role in mega project pursuits.
This position will also be a key leader in the office for our internal group and with our clients. This role will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of department staff within the group, including performance and compensation reviews, and succession planning. This role will also maintain client contacts to ensure client satisfaction, leading and assisting in sales and marketing efforts for the department's growth.
What You'll Do:
* Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
* Coordinates project activities establishes priorities and staff to jobs. Prepares Summary Inspection Report of Daily activities. Monitors contractor progress and compares with the reviewed progress schedule. Resolves technical field issues, and coordinates with Architects and Engineers for timely and accurate responses to requests for information.
* Oversees project controls including checking contractors' controls, coordination of schedule, and reviewing contractors' schedule.
* Reviews submittals for conformance to plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
* Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives. Identifies and resolves non-compliant work.
* Provides interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
* Confirms change order requests, develops estimates, negotiates costs, and writes change orders.
* Provides cost control on projects and quality control within discipline.
* Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads proposal development and interview presentations for mini-mega, mega, or super mega projects to the client as well as general presentations within the industry and community.
* May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of construction staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant degree and 12 years relevant experience, or
* In lieu of education, 16 years of relevant experience.

Role Description
We are seeking a Telecom Cable Construction Supervisor with a strong understanding of the cable and fiber installation industry. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day field operations of an assigned team of technicians and contract partners. Responsibilities
Supervise local technicians or contractors as assigned by local management.
Maintain and develop professional relationships with the local MSO (our primary customer).

Ensure compliance with all field-related performance metrics.
Conduct random safety site inspections to enforce client safety standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must have 2-3 years of experience in the cable or related industry.
Being local to Ashland, VA, is preferred.
Previous leadership experience, including project coordination and time management.
Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screening.
SCTE or NCTI membership and/or certification preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
