Full-time Description
Responsible for providing counseling and other clinical services to children, adults, couples and families in their natural environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides individual, group, and family therapy as needed in an office or out of office setting utilizing evidence based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches. Out of office settings may include but are not limited to the following: schools, homes, churches and community settings.
Completes diagnostic assessments and develops the Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plan with the client, parent/guardian, and/or caseworker. Follows all regulations when completing initial, reviews and/or updates for all required paperwork.
Provides crisis intervention services as needed.
Participates in clinical case staffing as needed. Schedules clinical case staffing to assure consistent communication with other professional staff involved with the client.
Collaborates with external agencies and programs as needed and with families to coordinate services on behalf of the individuals served.
Maintains case records and notes in a timely and professional manner.
Assures proper billing for all services provided. Keeps up to date, timely and professional records at all time and adheres to all payer regulations. Complies with Medicaid Rule 132 and Managed Care Organization requirements.
Participates in weekly supervision with direct supervisor to explore areas of strength and growth.
Completes all needed reports in a timely manner when required.
Completes all required client documentation in a timely manner as required.
Participate in Utilization Review of clinical files.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Must possess the experience, personal qualities and practice skills to work effectively with professionals in other organizations and from other disciplines and to provide services in a manner that reflects understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism.
Must possess and retain a valid driver's license.
Must possess and retain proof of auto insurance.
DCFS/CANTS Clearance.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program, or in a related human service field; strong preference for License in Clinical Social Work or Licensed Clinical Professional Counseling.
The ability and willingness to actively participate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population(s) served.

Effectively addressing the mentalhealth/substance abuse needs of high-risk youth through:

Establishing mentalhealth/substance abuse referral partners and identifying opportunities for more formal collaboration
Facilitate 1:1, family and/or group counseling for client's who require mentalhealth support

Provides mentalhealth services to participants through a holistic and trauma informed lens.
Makes referrals in accordance with service plans to other organization units and external providers.

Maintains knowledge current in the field including, but not limited to, attendance at seminars, workshops, etc.
Support staff to identify youth mentalhealth issues, provide support, and refer youth to community partners offering more intensive services.

Requirements
Master's Degree in Social Work or a related mentalhealth field.
Working towards or holding licensure (LCSW/LCPC) is required.
Minimum experience of 3 years in working inner-city youth.
Operate professionally in the field on a flexible time schedule, which includes late evenings and weekends.

Attend New Staff Orientation prior to starting the internship.

EDUCATION

The Center for Mental Wellbeing, Thresholds' Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) is a one-stop shop for mentalhealth and substance use services based in Woodstock, IL for families and individuals of all ages. The Center is committed to providing care regardless of ability to pay, and cares for those who are underserved, low income, are insured, uninsured, or on Medicaid. We offer a sliding scale program that provides discounted services to individuals based on family size and income. As the Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy in the clinic setting to community members with a profound need.
Every week, you will provide an average of 25 sessions of outpatient therapy. Meet face-to-face with the client or guardian to assess needs, identify goals, and develop individual treatment plans. Often this will look like individual therapy sessions, but you will also provide family and group therapy and facilitate therapeutic workshops. You will also do case consultation and crisis intervention.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Therapeutic Interventions- at least 80% of the Therapist's time will be dedicated to direct client or collateral contacts, specifically:
· Deliver therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness
· Conduct assessments, develop service/treatment plans, and maintain accurate records in electronic systems

The Licensed Clinical Professional will provide clinical support to staff for youth in care. The Licensed Clinical Professional will also be responsible for managing several meetings each week and month efficiently, coordinating with their agency leadership as well as with Youth Villages Guide Tree Service Manager to ensure effective implementation of Guide Tree. 50% of Licensed Clinical Professional role should be committed to Guide Tree Service activities and an additional 50% will be spent providing direct therapy services.
