BARGAINING UNIT / LEVEL: Non-Supervisory Bargaining Unit - Level 04/06 SALARY RANGE: $54,954 - $74,942 annually DOQ (2026 rate) GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the District Park Maintenance Manager, Park Maintenance Supervisor and/or Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor, work activities in this position primarily involve performing unskilled and skilled labor in connection with the maintenance of buildings, structures, grounds, construction and development of parks, utilities, roads and special facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employees shall perform other duties as assigned.
Repair and maintain physical structures using hand tools and power tools.
Repair, paint or refinish structures, picnic tables, benches, guardrails and woodwork with carpenter's tools.
Repair, replace and maintain plumbing fixtures.
Repair plaster and lay brick.
Determine defects and repair or replace electrical switches and other fixtures.
Load, unload and move building materials between work areas.
Build, repair and install counters, cabinets, benches, floors, partitions, etc.
Determine defects in and maintain heating, water, and drainage systems.
Operate trucks, tractors, riding mowers and heavy equipment.
Janitorial care and cleaning of buildings.
Mow lawns using push mower or power-driven lawn mower.
Grub and weed around bushes, trees, and flower beds and trim hedges.
Pick up and cart away rubbish.
Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings and mechanical equipment using hand tools.
Shovel snow from walks and driveways and plow roads during inclement weather.
Water lawns and shrubs using hose or by activating fixed or portable sprinkler.
Dig ditches and excavate for foundations using pick and shovel.
May operate and maintain swimming pool, splash pad, sewage lift station, drink dispensers and vending equipment.
Clean out drainage ditches and culverts using shovel and rake.

Mowing parkway median in high traffic areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Park MaintenanceWorker - Level 04:
Associate degree or four years of related experience for Worker Level 04.
Must maintain a valid Michigan driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Ability to operate push or power driver mowers, trucks, tractors and heavy equipment.
Ability to load, unload and move materials between work locations.
Ability to stand, stoop and bend for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
Possession of Pesticide Applicator License (PAL) including core and categories 3A, 3B and 6 or ability to obtain within 6 months of position start date.
Possession of a Michigan Commercial Driver License (CDL-A w/Air) or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
May be required to obtain other certifications as required by Management.

Ten years of related experience for Specialist Level 06.

Ability to apply knowledge of plumbing, heating and cooling, and electrical methods.
Ability to apply knowledge of materials, tools, practices and methods of grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of turf grass and landscape maintenance practices.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Requires the frequent use of hand tools used for raking, digging, pruning, leveling, repair of irrigation systems; custodial tools such as brooms, mops, toilet plungers; landscape equipment consisting of large mowers, small tractors, groomers and snow blowers; basic construction tools such as hammers, saws, tape measures, carpenter square. Know the role you play in achieving store sales goals

Use technology to prioritize daily work orders for the store
Evaluate store brand and ensure assets and vendor performance meets maintenance standards
Maintain and repair assets

Job DescriptionShift Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance / Facilities Reports To: Facilities Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Status: Full-Time or Seasonal, Hourly
The Swing Shift Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of Shanty Creek Resorts during the critical afternoon and evening hours. This role performs routine and emergency maintenance, responds to service requests, and ensures that guest-facing facilities and equipment remain in excellent working condition. The technician will work independently at times and in coordination with the daytime and overnight maintenance teams to ensure smooth 24-hour operations.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to maintenance requests across the resort, including guest rooms, public areas, food & beverage outlets, and operational facilities.
Perform general repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, basic mechanical systems, and general building upkeep within scope of skillset.
Address urgent evening issues, such as equipment failures, blocked drains, malfunctioning heating/cooling, lighting problems, and other guest-impacting concerns.
Complete daily work orders in the CMMS system, ensuring timely documentation and clear communication across shifts.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
Conduct routine inspections of resort buildings, mechanical rooms, pools, hot tubs, and public spaces, reporting issues promptly.
Assist departments with operational support needs (event setups/breakdowns, minor equipment adjustments, troubleshooting).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop areas and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored.
Communicate clearly with day shift and overnight teams to ensure seamless handoff of open work orders or ongoing repairs.
Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and resort standards for equipment handling and repair.
Provides excellent internal customer service, interacting with associates and leaders professionally and respectfully.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, building operations, or a related trade preferred
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently on the 2-10 PM shift
Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience with CMMS or work order systems preferred
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Valid driver's license required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in variable conditions
Dexterity to handle tools, small parts, and equipment

Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of the club's facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Day to Day
Maintain carpets clean by vacuuming and spot cleaning where necessary. Keep all floors swept, mopped, and polished, including courts, exercise rooms, stairwells, lobby and hallway areas, restrooms, and any other areas needed.
Dust and wipe down furniture, shelves, chair arms, desks, credenzas, chandeliers, pictures, televisions, woodwork, and artwork, including all ceiling HVAC registers.
Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet club standards and as communicated expectations (i.e. orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.).
Perform or contract facility maintenance and housekeeping repairs and maintenance including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings, special projects, and other related areas.
Responsible for maintaining a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements.
Communicate effectively with supervisor to coordinate, prioritize, document, and complete work requests from Department Heads, members, and guests.

SUMMARY
This position maintains a safe working environment for everyone by keeping the grounds and the inside of the casino in good repair.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Complete immediate inside and outside repairs.
* Paint interior and exterior projects
* Basic carpentry for internal and external woodwork and trim, building projects, as well as concrete work.
* Minor fix and repair of lighting and lighting fixtures.
* Plumb toilets, drains, and solder copper tubing.
* Maintain inventory control of tools and other maintenance equipment.
* Assist with set up and tear down during special events.
* Assist the move and set up of new slot formations and floor plans.
* Assist Grounds Crew with their daily tasks, or other duties when requested to do so by Management.
* Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
* Any other duty dealing with maintaining the interior and exterior integrity of the property.
OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. Must be at least 18 years of age, a minimum of 1 year maintenance/repair experience with a strong work ethic. Basic knowledge of power tools and equipment in addition to hand tools. Must either possess or be able to obtain a license and certification in order to operate lifts and fork trucks.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
Basic hand tools, lawn mowers, snow blower, tractor, golf carts, power tools, meters, and other general maintenance equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective.
