The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver position will deliver products to Linde customer sites via tractor trailer tankers. As a critical member of Linde's logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting industrial gases such as liquid CO2, while ensuring compliance with all safety standards, laws, and regulations. In this role, you may be required to deliver to government facilities and other locations requiring extensive background checks and compliance with heightened security and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to safety, possess strong attention to detail, and adhere to company protocols related to cryogenic transportation.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) when needed
Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings.
Monitor pressure levels and temperature readings during delivery to ensure safe unloading
Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of cryogenic gases.
Ensure hazardous material shipping orders/papers are in accordance with DOT regulations
Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with DOT and company policies.
Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
Maintain a professional partnership with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs

Job Description Summary

Experience with lowboy, RGN (Removable Gooseneck), multi-axle, and step deck trailers.
Knowledge of DOT regulations, state permitting processes, and heavy haul route planning.
Ability to perform basic truck and trailer maintenance and inspections.
Strong understanding of load securement techniques using chains, binders, and straps.
Must be physically capable of handling tarping, chaining, and securing heavy loads.
Ability to travel long distances, including overnight and multi-day trips.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
Physical & Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. and perform tasks such as climbing on trailers, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Work involves exposure to all weather conditions and requires proper PPE use.
Extended hours, overnight travel, and weekends may be required based on load assignments.
