Permatex is currently looking for a Machine Operator - Advanced to join our 2nd shift Manufacturing team. 2nd Shift hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Pay rate is $20 - $24 an hour depending on experience. There is a $.50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift.
BASIC FUNCTION
Required to operate filling and packaging equipment according to procedures given by Working Supervisor. Able to lead line and assist in training.
JOB DUTIES
Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as, filling, labeling, packing, or closing containers.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Responsible for machine adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.
Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and train on the cardboard baler, plastic baler, carton erector, pallet jack, pick and place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape gun, and additional production equipment.
Validates and organizes jobs in accordance with bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and future job orders.
Responsible for conducting quality inspection of goods at the correct intervals, ensuring that product is packaged according to the work order with the expectation to identify and correct any quality issues.
Assists in training assigned full time/temp operators and assists other teams as needed.
Forklift experience required.
Promotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively and lead others.
Coordinates and performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment.
Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of production, labor and scrap incurred during the shift
Must have the ability to temporarily run manufacturing lines in the absence of a working supervisor
and assist with MH, B, and C operator roles when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED required.
3-5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment in a lead role; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.
Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.
Must have ability to perform simple math calculations.
Must be computer literate.
Must be certified to drive all types of forklift.

We are currently seeking a Machine B Operator to join our 2nd Shift Manufacturing team at our Solon, OH facility. 2nd shift hours are from 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Operating filling and packaging equipment according to procedures
Tending to machines that perform various packaging functions such as filling, labeling, packing or closing containers
Responsible for minor adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, loading, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines
Organizing and performing job in accordance with bills of material and routing instructions
Responsible for quality inspection of goods to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
Completion of all required paperwork for production as needed by MFG procedures
Identifying problems and assisting in troubleshooting
Assisting in training of new operators and assisting other teams as needed
Promoting and following all safety guidelines and procedures, and recommending safety improvements as needed
Tow motor experience required
