They report to the Facilities Manager and will work closely with the Senior Maintenance Technician. This role performs a wide range of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, and facility finish areas. Perform millwork and light carpentry repairs to cabinetry, cash wraps, and built-in fixtures. Complete wall finishing work, including painting, patching, and surface repairs to maintain a clean and professional environment. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Follow all safety procedures, food safety standards, and company maintenance protocols. Properly document maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage as required. Identify potential safety risks and escalate issues appropriately. Qualifications 5+ years' experience as a Facilities/Maintenance Technician (or similar role) supporting multi-unit restaurants, food & beverage or retail stores. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance. HVAC/Refrigeration or small appliance repair certification is a plus! Ability to read and interpret basic technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders. Full-time Description Point Real Estate Management is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to add to our team! This position will be based at our apartment community in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate would have some basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and HVAC. The Maintenance Technician will work alongside another Maintenance Technician to perform overall maintenance of the physical property, under the direction of the Property Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service Service requests made by residents should be completed within 24 hours Assist in the distribution of flyers and other material General Maintenance, including but not limited to: Replace filters and clean air conditioning vents as needed Replace breezeway light bulbs as needed Perform HVAC repairs as needed Perform light electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc. Perform light plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks. Paint, interior and exterior, when necessary. Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors. Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas. Assist in grounds work when necessary, including picking up litter and “trashing out” vacancies. Maintain pool chemical levels and cleanliness. Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing, when required. Be responsible for refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy (Make Readies). Have knowledge regarding water and gas meter cutoffs, all apartment and fixture cutoffs, and sewer cleanouts, and post map of same. Make keys, change locks and assist in maintaining key control and other work as directed On Call Handle “on call” duties whenever needed. Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Requirements Work Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC. EPA (refrigerant transition and recovery certification). Own basic set of hand tools. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule. The Maintenance Technician provides specialized skill support to the Maintenance Department. They will support facilities maintenance operations within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for completing assigned maintenance tasks involving basic to intermediate installation, inspection, and routine upkeep and repair of machines and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Help Maintenance Specialists understand and follow departmental processes. * Aid Assistant Maintenance and Maintenance Manager with new hire training. * Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists. * Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair and replacement. * Ensure proper performance and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within the building. * Report all maintenance issues to Maintenance Manager. * Maintain record of scheduled maintenance procedures. * Perform custodial functions to clean and maintain the building both inside and outside. * Assist with the management of outside contractors for required service for the facilities and equipment. * Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. * Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas. * Immediately inform Maintenance Manager of any system discrepancies. * Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. * Provide support to additional cultivation, harvest, and production teams as needed to achieve facility production goals. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facility maintenance and repairs. Commitment to and support of the Company Core Values is key to success in this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform regular facility maintenance and repairs as directed by the Supervisor, including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, furniture installation, welding, grinding, and ironwork Perform custodial duties and ground maintenance when staffing and workload levels require it or when the custodian is out Assist Millwrights on project work such as cutting using shears, drilling, tapping, tack welding, chute design/modifications, and conveyor belt replacement Perform guarding and machine repairs without assistance Conduct facility audits (pest, fire extinguishers, ladders, external doors, emergency lights, chains, slings, and hoists) Operates forklift and scissor lift if needed to complete a job Perform daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly inspections on equipment throughout the facility Perform annual PMs and minor repairs Perform minor troubleshooting on HVAC systems Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste and universal waste in accordance with State and Federal law Follow company personnel and product safety requirements, including standards from SQF and internal GMPs Ability to perform basic electrical repairs is preferred, but not required Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
