Cage Cashier-Swing Shift Max Casino is seeking a skilled Cage Cashier Team Member. This position is full-time. The Cage Cashier team member must be available to work primarily evenings until close, and on Friday and Saturday. This role requires the ability to work effectively under pressure. $15.00 per hour to start Minimum Qualifications: To be qualified to hold this position, team members must meet the below minimum requirements. • Must be 21 year or older. • Ability to register and pass background check requirements with the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Commission. • Should have at least 6 months of cash handling experience preferred, not required High school graduate or equivalent. • Ability to demonstrate basic computer and Microsoft Excel/Word skills. • Ability to demonstrate and return basic mathematical skills is required. • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and hold a high standard for guest service. • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. • Ability to hold others and themselves accountable for their actions to protect the integrity of the Cage and Max Casino. • Ability to deal with customers in a courteous manner at all times. • Ability to perform the physical demands as outlined below. • Ability to perform essential duties as outlined below. • Ability to work well with all denominations of money and coin. • Must be free of any illegal substances. • Must be detail orientated while multitasking. • Must be able to multitask on a frequent basis while assisting guests and team members. • Must comply with Max Casino policies and procedures. • Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. • Must maintain required licenses as required by the Human Resources Department. Work Environment: 100% indoor, frequent loud noise level, with cigar and cigarette smoke. Team members must be able to go from working in a slow pace to working in a fast-paced environment very quickly and without hesitation. This position requires team members to be within a secure environment with many security protocols in place. This position may require a team member to be in tight spaces at times. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of team members assigned to this position. • Assist all guests in players club, financial, and tobacco transactions. • Verify all member information to ensure accurate information on file, while creating a welcoming environment. • Issue new/replacement players cards based on member requests/needs or as needed by the Company. • Assist in free play transactions as part of daily/weekly/monthly promotions pursuant to the promotion guidelines and procedures. • Address guest questions and concerns in a courteous professional manner at all times. • Work with other departments as needed to ensure business needs at met, while maintaining security of the Cage. • Verify and count down banks issued out to other team members, as well as your own bank(s), to ensure accuracy, and record and assist in resolving any variances as needed. • Pay out jackpots and verify all financial information is obtained to ensure legal and tax compliance. • Record various transactions on numerous excel and manual paper record logs pursuant to the Bank Secrecy Act. • Maintain a balance sheet for the vault, when applicable, to ensure all monies and cash in/out transactions have been accurately accounted for. • Monitor and report broken machines to the Slot Technicians on duty on a constant basis. • Monitor ATM cash amounts and replenish as needed/requested. • Announce promotions, sometimes up to an hourly basis, over the loud speaker to guests with an energetic tone to draw excitement throughout the casino floor. • Maintain and check out/check in keys to other team members as needed. • Maintain a clean work environment free from any hazards or potential hazards. • Maintain confidentiality with members on Cage and Casino operations. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and management. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting: Typically 1 hour in an 8 hour shift. Standing: 3 ½ hours in an 8 hour shift. Alternates continuously with walking. Walking: 3 ½ hours in an 8 hour shift.
