Job Responsibilities
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. The Adjunct Nursing Instructor performs the following functions (four vacancies):
Making and posting clinical assignments for students prior to clinical practicum day.
Supervising students who are providing direct client care.
Grading student written work required in the course, under the direction of the supervising faculty member.
Advising students of clinical progress.

General Requirements:
Located within driving distance of one of our partner regions and reliable transportation
Experience with children in an educational setting preferred but not required
Strong science or baking background with familiarity in experimentation, the scientific method, engineering concepts, creative thinking, and/or baking
Available to start online training in May prior to the start of summer (train at your own pace via our online portal)
Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.
Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weeks, Monday through Friday
Must love working with kids!

College students studying education, culinary arts, biology, chemistry, engineering, or other STEM related fields encouraged to apply
Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to teach chemistry courses to support the chemistry degree program curriculum requirements. The successful candidate should have knowledge of and experience in their selected teaching discipline, as well as experience with and the ability to use instructional technologies to support classroom activities. Essential Job Functions

Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates that have prior experience working with college-level students and students from diverse backgrounds.
