Job Summary
Georgia College & State University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction to teach in an online Master of Education (MEd) program and possibly in the hybrid (online and on-campus courses) Doctor of Education (EdD) program. The candidate may also be asked to teach online courses in the Teacher Leadership Education Specialist (EdS) program.
The candidate may also teach graduate courses in related fields/areas of expertise and/or undergraduate GC1Y (typically freshmen)/GC2Y (typically sophomores) core courses. Assistant Professor of Psychology
to begin August 2026. This position carries a 3-4 teaching load (21 credit hours annually) and will contribute to our Psychology, Applied Psychology (online), and Neuroscience majors.
Teaching responsibilities primarily include general psychology, courses in our research methods sequence, and cognitive psychology, with additional courses based on candidate interest and expertise. We expect that a candidate with an emphasis in cognitive psychology would be an ideal fit, but we are open to applications from candidates with closely related specialties. We seek candidates who employ innovative teaching methods and embrace interdisciplinary connections.
All faculty are expected to participate in curriculum development, professional development through continued scholarly activity, service to the college including serving on departmental and college-wide committees, and student recruiting. Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Simulation Instructor is to support the professional role development and clinical education of students, primarily within the School of Nursing. This role focuses on facilitating student learning in the Skills Labs and Simulation Center. The Clinical Simulation Instructor plays a key role in developing students' psychomotor skills, applying standards of practice, and fostering critical thinking through the implementation of high-quality simulation-based learning experiences.
Responsibilities
Teaching/Instruction - 40
Following a period of orientation and under the supervision of the STRC Director and Skills Lab Coordinators, the Clinical Simulation Instructor will be responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to:
* Evaluate nursing students during skills practice sessions, skills check-offs, and/or remediation, particularly when clinical expertise is required.
* Collaborate with faculty on simulation design and implementation to ensure alignment with Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.
* Assist faculty in the creation, testing, and execution of simulation scenarios.
* Instruct students on the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation during simulation activities.
* Maintain inventory of simulation supplies and equipment in accordance with accreditation standards.
* Participate in the orientation of faculty, staff, and students prior to simulation activities.
* Maintain accurate records of lab and simulation center utilization.
* Coordinate and manage student access and scheduling for after-hours lab use.
* Supervise student mentors involved in simulation and skills lab activities.
* Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and maintain a clean, organized, and safe simulation environment. -40%
Research and Professional Development - 40
The individual in this position is expected to actively participate in ongoing simulation-related research and contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession, particularly in the areas of simulation and nursing education.
Expectations may include, but are not limited to:
* Participation in professional development and continuing education activities necessary to maintain current knowledge of simulation best practices and accreditation standards.
* Collaboration with the STRC team and faculty on research initiatives, including the development and submission of scholarly articles.
* Providing guidance and support for educational research projects involving simulation.
* Active membership and engagement in professional organizations related to simulation, nursing, and nursing education.

Required Qualifications

Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the United States with the ability to obtain licensure in the state of Georgia upon appointment.

Job Details:The Columbus Roberts Department of Religion in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Religion with primary focus on Religion and Science. We welcome candidates in religious studies with expertise in one or more of the following areas: health and healing, natural sciences, social sciences, history of medicine, and history of science.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching 21 hours per academic year at the undergraduate level. Fifteen of those hours will be in religion courses that fulfill a General Education requirement, 3 hours will be in an upper-level religion class in one's discipline, and the remaining hours will be in one of our cross-college programs, including, but not limited to: Integrative Studies, Great Books, and Women's and Gender Studies. In addition, the candidate will participate fully in the collaborative work of the department, including advising students and developing new upper-level courses in the discipline. As with all faculty members, the successful candidate will be expected to continue a research agenda and provide service to the college, university, and academy. The expectation is 60% teaching, 20% scholarship, and 20% service.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree in Religion or related area is required. Exceptional ABD candidates will be considered so long as the Ph.D. is completed by August 1, 2026. A background in liberal arts education and membership in Phi Beta Kappa are considered added advantages.

What You Will Be Doing:
The Boot Camp Training Instructor will be leading our four (4) month, highly structured accelerated heavy equipment technician training program. This program takes individuals with technical aptitude and positive work ethic to train them in processes, procedures and skill sets needed to graduate as an entry level heavy equipment technician at a Caterpillar dealership. The instructor will act as a lead man, mentor, and facilitator of basic course competencies in electrical, hydraulics and diesel systems. The Boot Camp Training Instructor will also instruct safety topics and other topics that convey the company Mission, Vision and Values.
We are primarily looking to serve Albany, Savannah, Gwinnett, McDonough or Macon areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Schedule, demonstrate and manage the learning plan and day to day activities of the boot campers in both classroom and shop settings
Assist in the recruiting and selection of boot camp classes
Acting as a working lead man for the boot campers
Lectures classes on safety, installation, programming, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment- following the outlines, handouts and text materials
Demonstrates proper procedures being taught, such as programming, testing and repair
Observes class participants in the classroom and in the lab setting- answering questions and determining additional activities to ensure learning
Administers written and practical exams to determine understanding and competency. Creates performance reports to evaluate boot camper learning.
Schedules and secures equipment, training aides, training location and classroom related materials
Updates and develops training aides used in the classroom. Deal with vendors.
Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information / skill sets needed to retain competency in the training arena
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
