    The Rutgers-Camden Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office is seeking an instructor who can teach the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills ( CARS ) section of the MCAT exam and also serve as the instructor of record for the MCAT workshop course that is offered to undergraduate students for academic credit. The course may utilize materials from a test preparation company such as Kaplan and will be supplemented by American Association of Medical Colleges ( AAMC ) materials and direct instruction. The course will cover all four sections of the MCAT exam, with separate instructors teaching each of the three other sections. The instructor of record will coordinate the work of the other instructors and ensure that the course runs efficiently and effectively. The course will be offered in person in Camden, NJ. Two of the four topics on the MCAT will be addressed each class session, which will be held one afternoon a week. The other two topics will be taught the following week. The CARS instructor therefore will attend class once every other week. The instructor of record should expect to spend approximately 2 hours every other week instructing students, with additional time allotted for grading, office hours and various administrative duties related to oversight of the course.     About this Role: Our AP Computer Science instructors are the core of our BLI Computer Science program. Our Blended Learning Initiative (BLI) Computer Science program aims to fundamentally broadenaccess and forge pathways into computer science, technology, and engineering among Philadelphia students from underinvested communities. This program is a key part of the Heights Inveniam partnership with Penn Engineering. For the 2025-26 school year, we are hiring instructors to teach our AP Computer Science A classes after school and on weekends. The curriculum materials have been developed in partnership with Penn, where classes will occur. These classes aim to build on students' prior coding skills (e.g. from our summer BLI Intro & Intermediate Java classes and/or classes from students' schools) to motivate and prepare them for the AP Computer Science A exam, and ultimately for success in tech majors and careers. They will work with the Director and Coordinator of STEM Pathways and Computer Science consultant. Heights will hold small-group instructor orientation and training meetings for AP instructors in mid-October once staff are cleared to begin working. These instructors will co-teach at Penn (Sat. or Sun.) and Heights (Center City, Wednesdays) from Oct. 22 - May 6. The program will be on winter break from Dec. 13 - Jan. 11, aligned with finals and winter breaks for colleges like Penn. Heights will hold instructor orientation for spring-semester Raspberry Pi and Emerging Tech instructors in January prior to classes starting Jan. 28-29. We understand that you may not be able to fully predict your spring-semester availability for weekday afternoons at this time.
