Responsibilities · Balances team and individual responsibilities, objective and open to other's views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, put success of team above own interest. · Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations. · Observes UPH performance standards. · Performs minor repairs on nurse call systems, televisions, VCR's, and other communication systems equipment. · Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on the pneumatic tube system, medical equipment such as patient beds, wheelchairs, wheeled stretchers, exercise equipment, etc. · Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on medical gas outlets. · Performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings, building and cabinet hardware, plumbing, electrical and mechanical items. · Is knowledgeable of sprinkler and fire alarm systems. · Displays considerable initiative and judgment involved in determining extent of repairs as may be required on all equipment and buildings selecting the appropriate materials, utilizing the most effective methods, techniques and procedures when required to complete job assignments. · Cooperates with Facilities Manager and Supervisor and other employees to maintain equipment, parts and supplies and make recommendations to Facilities Manager regarding desired changes in operation and maintenance procedures. · Keeps informed through periodicals, books, training seminars, on-the-job training and other sources and participates in approved training programs to further job knowledge. · Records time of day, date, hours and/or minutes and materials expended on jobs and maintains files of pertinent records on machinery and equipment through the TMA work order maintenance database. · Observes and practices accepted procedures in the care and use of equipment and tools. Observes all safety regulations and practices. · Communicates with Facilities Manager, Supervisor and co-workers to achieve understanding in a positive manner. · May be called during off-duty hours. · May be required to work any day of the week or any shift, including weekends and holidays. · Performs functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances. · Must be self-directed and assume responsibility for timely completion of job responsibilities. · Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Qualifications Education: High school diploma preferred, or equivalent. Education and experience may be combined to satisfy minimum qualifications Experience: Minimum of one year (1) experience in industrial or commercial operations. Must be familiar with building maintenance techniques as applied to systems and equipment.

Our Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on equipment, buildings and furnishings. We currently have Full-Time openings on 1st or 2nd Shift: * AM Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM * PM Shift 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Our pay range is dependent upon experience: * $22.18 - $25.21 per hour Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent, fluorescent and LED bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, or specialty tools. * Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains, faucets and toilets, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.). * Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, apply cement patch, install/adjust door closures, and perform repairs to trim/doors). * Installs, repairs, and/or replaces appliances (e.g. refrigerators, ranges, hoods, microwaves, washer/dryer etc.) * Moves, reconfigures, installs and positions, furniture for residents and/or staff. (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, tables, podiums and AV equipment etc.). * Repairs, modifies, and replaces damaged or missing parts to sheet metal fixtures and equipment (e.g. ducts, diffusers, metal cabinets, doors, covers, framing to provide safe, efficient operation of equipment. * Replaces and repairs ceiling tiles and ceiling grid systems to correct damaged, stained or broken tiles. * Removes blockages to drains and toilets to restore the flow and drainage of wastewater and products using appropriate tools and materials (e.g. hand, electrical and sewer snakes, plunger, etc.). * Prioritize work orders/work requests and complete them in a timely manner. Requirements * Good mechanical aptitude. * Tolerant of interruptions and willing to be flexible with daily schedule. * Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and provide auto insurance with Marquardt minimum coverage requirements. * At least 18 years of age. * High school degree required. * 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
