Responsibilities * Perform Speech Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patient's physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations. A variety of diagnoses and possibility of all 3 settings served include but are not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders * Provide Speech Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Interventions may be related to but not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. * Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Speech Therapy students as assigned by CCCE. * Schedule Speech Therapy services according to department * Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions. * Participate in patient care conferences/staffing as appropriate for multidisciplinary patients. Qualifications Education: * Master's degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program. Experience: * 2 years' experience as a Speech Therapist. License(s)/Certification(s): * Current IA and/or IL Speech Therapy licensure (or eligible). * Current CPR certification. * Certification of Clinical Competency issued by ASHA within 1 year of hire. Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Working knowledge of Epic. * Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. Key Responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist Conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs. Provide direct speech/language therapy services, including management of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers on strategies to support student goals.
