Position Purpose: Actively oversee clients struggling with addiction, ensuring the provision of daily counseling sessions, including individual, case management, group, and educational activities, within a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborate within a team to deliver comprehensive addiction treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating the integration of recovery principles into their daily lives. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families as they navigate the challenges of addiction and work towards sustainable recovery.
Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 paid out within first 9 months of hire.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field preferred
• Drug and Alcohol Certification (TCADC or CADC) preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and adept at learning new software
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to prescribed work hours set by leadership and fulfill additional hours as necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
2. Provide direct contact and counseling, including supervision and behavior management of clients, implementing appropriate interventions and consequences.
3. Implement therapeutic activities.
4. Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
5. Monitor assigned clients by collaborating with addictioncounselors to develop and implement individual treatment plans.
6. Schedule and conduct individual sessions to assist clients with AA step work and treatment plan objectives.
7. Coordinate and deliver lectures for clients, parents, and community resources. Utilize behavioral management techniques effectively.
8. Ensure that client service record is maintained consistent with laws, rules and regulations.
9. Develop and present all clients lectures listed on the client lecture schedule.
10. Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics.
11. Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
12. Perform general cleaning duties as needed.
13. Consult with the members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
14. Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts.
15. Supervise the tidiness of the unit and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies. Notify appropriate personnel of any supply shortages or equipment repairs needed.
16. Contribute actively as an integral member of the clinical team, fostering collaboration and inclusivity by participating in all team meetings, discussions, and activities aimed at enhancing client care.
17. Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
18. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
19. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
20. Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
21. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Job Title: Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor
Report To: Clinical Supervisor
Job Summary: Provides comprehensive counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy sessions. The counselor is dedicated to helping clients achieve their recovery goals by offering support, guidance, and education tailored to their needs.
As part of UCS Healthcare, team members will follow all laws and regulations, including those at the Federal, State, and Local level. They will also adhere to all UCS policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality, HIPAA/ 42CFR part 2, and all CARF requirements. All team members will operate in alignment with UCS Healthcare's core values, work effectively in a team environment, provide or support patient-centered services, and strive to assist UCS Healthcare in delivering the highest level of care.
Essential Functions: (85%)
Conduct initial assessment, admission, and transition planning.
Provides individual and group counseling to patients. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in their recovery journey. Implement evidenced based curriculums identified as appropriate by management. Facilitate group therapy sessions to provide clients with peer support and education about substance use disorders. Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to share experiences and strategies for recovery.
Maintain a client caseload in accordance with assigned duties.
Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and training workshops as required.
Develop individualized treatment plans. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Evaluate treatment plans and define goals with patients served as required by level of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes. Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, or other required information.
Other Functions: (15%)
Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or pharmacists.
Collaborate treatment functions with outside agencies. Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services, or other post-treatment agencies as necessary.
Apprise supervisor of problems encountered in caseloads.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices in substance use disorder counseling.
Monitor and provide coverage for agency crisis line.
Interpret referral paperwork to determine appropriate level of care.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Associates degree.
Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (tCADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with Iowa Board of Certification. Full CADC is required within one year of hire.
Must excel in team environment, adhere to agency policy and procedures, engage in critical thinking, and utilize problem solving skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and handle sensitive information confidentially.
Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Previous experience in substance use disorder counseling and with group facilitation.
Demonstrates understanding of substance use disorders and comprehension of counseling theories.

We are looking to hire a Social Worker who will:
Complete initial and ongoing substance abuse assessments to determine diagnosis, level of care, etc. utilizing the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM).
Perform a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment to analyze and synthesize the client's status and addresses the client's strengths, problems, and areas of clinical concern. On an ongoing basis assesses client needs/strengths, behaviors, and progress toward desired outcomes. Specifically monitors client progress in areas of recovery, personal growth, self- sufficiency, living skills, etc. Determines need for outside professional evaluations (e.g., mental health), and independently refers to appropriate care providers, agencies, etc. as needed.
Facilitate the admission process utilizing a compassionate and empathetic manner to ensure all clients entering the program feel welcome, appreciated and understood. Helps ensure all clients feel a focus on collaboration and engagement from the very beginning of their involvement with House of Mercy.
Develop treatment plans in accordance with program requirements, state regulations, etc. and communicates pertinent treatment plan information to others as needed. Updates and revises client treatment goals/objectives on a regular basis consistent with House of Mercy and regulatory expectations.
Establish rapport and develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned clients. Provides counseling services in individual and group sessions. Therapeutic efforts are primarily directed towards addressing issues related to recovery, self-esteem, self-sufficiency, and grief. Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with all persons involved.
General Requirements:
Previous experience working with chemically dependent and at-risk clientele, including a thorough understanding of chemical dependency treatment concepts, psychosocial assessment, application of chemical dependency diagnosis, provision of therapeutic chemical dependency treatment interventions, facilitation of therapeutic groups, etc., preferred.
CADC certification is required at the time of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within thirty days of employment.
Ability to understand medical terminology and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Bachelor's degree required (in the behavioral sciences, preferred)

Job Title: Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor
Report To: Clinical Supervisor
Job Summary: Provides comprehensive counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy sessions. The counselor is dedicated to helping clients achieve their recovery goals by offering support, guidance, and education tailored to their needs.
As part of UCS Healthcare, team members will follow all laws and regulations, including those at the Federal, State, and Local level. They will also adhere to all UCS policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality, HIPAA/ 42CFR part 2, and all CARF requirements. All team members will operate in alignment with UCS Healthcare's core values, work effectively in a team environment, provide or support patient-centered services, and strive to assist UCS Healthcare in delivering the highest level of care.
Essential Functions: (85%)
Conduct initial assessment, admission, and transition planning.
Provides individual and group counseling to patients. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in their recovery journey. Implement evidenced based curriculums identified as appropriate by management. Facilitate group therapy sessions to provide clients with peer support and education about substance use disorders. Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to share experiences and strategies for recovery.
Maintain a client caseload in accordance with assigned duties.
Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and training workshops as required.
Develop individualized treatment plans. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Evaluate treatment plans and define goals with patients served as required by level of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes. Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, or other required information.
Other Functions: (15%)
Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or pharmacists.
Collaborate treatment functions with outside agencies. Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services, or other post-treatment agencies as necessary.
Apprise supervisor of problems encountered in caseloads.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices in substance use disorder counseling.
Monitor and provide coverage for agency crisis line.
Interpret referral paperwork to determine appropriate level of care.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Associates degree.
Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (tCADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with Iowa Board of Certification. Full CADC is required within one year of hire.
Must excel in team environment, adhere to agency policy and procedures, engage in critical thinking, and utilize problem solving skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and handle sensitive information confidentially.
Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Previous experience in substance use disorder counseling and with group facilitation.
Demonstrates understanding of substance use disorders and comprehension of counseling theories.

Qualifications:

7. Coordinate and deliver lectures for clients, parents, and community resources. Utilize behavioral management techniques effectively.
8. Ensure that client service record is maintained consistent with laws, rules and regulations.
9. Develop and present all clients lectures listed on the client lecture schedule.
10. Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics.
11. Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
12. Perform general cleaning duties as needed.

14. Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts.
