Your impact
We're seeking an environmental engineer/geologist/environmental scientist with a background in environmental site characterization and remediation to support the delivery of challenging projects for government and global private sector clients.
Based out of the Honolulu, Hawaii area, you'll work with other scientists, engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects in which you will learn from others and pass along your knowledge. Responsibilities may include designing, performing, or overseeing soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations, working among teams of colleagues and subcontractors, coordinating and managing fieldwork logistics, data analysis and interpretation, and technical report writing. You'll work alongside recognized technical experts, developing and implementing comprehensive site strategies, and delivering innovative solutions for some of our most challenging site issues.

Here's what you'll need
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or other closely related field.
* At least 2 years of experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media (e.g., soil, sediments, groundwater)
* Experience conducting environmental remediation site investigation field work, working on project sites, and overseeing subcontractors.
* Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams toward a common goal.
* 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers and contractors.
* Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data.

Responsibilities
As the new Environmental Specialist for REAL ALLOY, you will directly support the development, deployment and execution of Real Alloy corporate and site environmental programs and related environmental management systems. In this position, you will use your environmental education and experience to provide guidance and problem solving to the corporate environmental team and site leaders on environmental regulations, requirements, and best practices that impact the business.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Assist the corporate environmental team with technical input, guidance and communications on compliance issues with local, state, federal and provincial environmental regulations and environmental permits to business, regional and site leaders.
* Work closely with the corporate environmental team and site leaders to develop and improve environmental procedures, control plans, standard work, and data collection methods for air, water and waste management programs.
* Assist the corporate environmental team with identifying and analyzing environmental requirements, risks, and solution options and supports the implementation of agreed upon strategies.
* Prepare, submit and/or review environmental reports as necessary for the business and/or operating locations to regulatory agencies.
* Analyze environmental data, perform trend analysis, and identify preventative and corrective actions to maintain compliance.
* Develop and update training materials for environmental programs.
* Participate in periodic compliance reviews and audit of Real Alloy operations including NESHAP/RRR audits, HSE Standard audits and ISO 14001 audits as necessary.
* Assist the corporate environmental team in resolving environmental non-compliances, notices of violations, complaints and enforcement actions.
* Research and provide guidance to the corporate environmental team and site leaders regarding the design, development, implementation, review, and maintenance of environmental controls and management systems.
* Assist corporate environmental with the negotiation of environmental permit terms, stipulations, and operational conditions to meet objectives for safe, efficient and compliant operations.
* Participate in the planning and execution of site air performance testing events, as required.
* Assist corporate environmental team in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and development and execution of action plans to improve environmental programs and processes.
Qualifications
Environmental Specialist
* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or other STEM-related field and 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing or consulting environment.
* Strong communication skills - written and verbal. Ability to accurately write reports, communicate verbally with management and hourly employees, provide constructive feedback and maintain positive employee relations.
* Must have knowledge of environmental regulations, consensus standards and best practice with demonstrated success in effective implementation of compliance and control plans.
* Demonstrated ability to attain and continually improve environmental performance while attaining good business results.

The Environmental Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Environmental and Safety Compliance for COM, Service and Capital Projects across the assigned properties. Ensure that standards are achieved and sustained in accordance with project objectives. Will be required to work closely with Lendlease Environmental and Safety Managers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure that COM, Service and Capital Projects are delivered in a compliant, safe and timely manner as it pertains to environmental and safety policies and procedures. Provide environmental support for supervisors and subcontractors to address, scope, quality and compliance concerns.
Participated in site safety and environmental programs, coordinating with Senior Management, Lendlease safety and environmental managers on immediate concerns and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure that Lendlease and Military Partner environmental and safety policies, procedures, standards and reporting requirements are effectively communicated to all employees.
Perform regular inspections and audits of worksites and record keeping. Present findings to senior management and Lendlease personnel. Work with Senior Management and Lendlease Environmental/Safety Managers on identifying strategies for rectifying identified deficiencies.
Serve as key in reviewing and managing policies and plans for personnel response and efforts during emergency situations, such as fires, storms and floods, during and after normal business hours.
Address customer environmental and safety concerns and diffuse minimizing escalation.
Promote and practice environmental and safety campaigns including Incident and Injury Free (IIF).
Review Yardi and ensure that all required notes and documentation exist for environmental related work orders.
Sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices and programs. Manager or Director provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area or department.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical training and/or Associates degree preferred
Must have a minimum of 5 - 8 years work-related experience
1 - 3 years previous supervisory experience

The responsibilities will consist of a wide variety of field tasks and some administrative office tasks related to compliance, reporting, and maintenance of active recovery systems. Field tasks include compliance sample collection, equipment calibration, routine system data collection, remediation system maintenance and repair, occasional subcontractor oversight, grounds maintenance (weed eating). Office tasks include participating in weekly meetings, tabulation/filing of field data, assistance with compliance-related tasks, and tracking data from active recovery system(s).
Responsibilities:
* Lead and support safety operations at the site including acting as owner of standard operating procedures.
* Be a health and safety champion.
* Oversee or perform field work tasks under minimal to no supervision such as subcontractor oversight, groundwater sampling, equipment inspections, and compliance inspections.
* Be mechanically-inclined: May include routine set-up, assembly, installation, and/or minor troubleshooting or simple repairs of remediation equipment, as directed.
Participate in routine conference calls:
