Working closely with a multi-disciplinary project team, you'll provide support including collection of environmental samples, site inspections, data management, waste management, and routine groundwater well pumping/treatment operations, monitoring and maintenance system support. Additionally, as part of field teams, you'll have the ability to characterize soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, treated discharge, collect air samples and perform routine sampling and testing in either a lead or support role. You'll also oversee specialty subcontractors performing maintenance, investigation, drilling, survey and remediation work. You'll contribute to the development of NYSDEC-type, NJDEP-type, USEPA-type and other regulatory reporting technical documents (field logs, health and safety documentation, work plans, and environmental investigation, monitoring and remediation reports, etc.). We'll rely on you to complete tasks within schedule and budget with a variety of teams from different disciplines and backgrounds and communicate the status of tasks to project managers. The Early Career Geologist position will be part of a team that supports geotechnical, environmental, and engineering projects through field investigations, data collection, and technical analysis. This role involves conducting subsurface explorations; soil and rock logging; groundwater, surface water, and stormwater sampling; and site assessments to evaluate geologic conditions.
