What You'll Do:
* Design and document telecommunications systems for advanced facilities, including Outside Plant (OSP), backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedules.
* Use Revit (and occasionally AutoCAD) to create fully coordinated 3D BIM models across all design disciplines (C, S, A, M, E, P, T, I, L).
* Produce 2D construction drawings and ensure designs meet NEC, TIA, and other industry standards.
* Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers to deliver accurate, constructible solutions.

* Two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industry
* Knowledge and application of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) design practices
* Knowledge & application of NFPA 70 (NEC) as applicable to telecommunications design requirements
* Knowledge & application of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards
* Experience leading telecommunications design team
* Knowledge of design and construction specifications
* Experience estimating and scheduling small to medium sized projects
Ideally, you'll also have:
* Associates or Bachelor's degree
* At least 3 years of telecommunications design experience for semiconductor, data center, or advanced manufacturing facilities
* Project management experience
* Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
* Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio visual systems
* Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems
* Knowledge of control systems and network topology
* One of more of the following certifications: RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer), DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant), OSP (Outside Plant) or RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in information systems, computer science or related technical field and two years of directly related technical experience is required. Five years of experience with data networking or general telecommunications experience.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of six years of directly related technical experience is required. Nine years of experience with data networking or general telecommunications experience.
