For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.
This position is contingent on contract award.
How Role will make an impact:
Provide subject matter expert support throughout all phases of exercise planning, and develop and implement an effective, reliable exercise program that will systematically and periodically be updated.

PLANNING AND BUILDING
The mission of the Planning and Building Department is to guide land use and development consistent with the General Plan, Building Codes, and related regulations, by providing accurate, timely, and courteous professional and technical services to our customers, to maintain the County's unique quality of life, protect public safety and the environment and to promote economic vitality for current and future generations.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Under general supervision or direction, performs professional office and field work involved in planning, zoning, and land use matters; interprets and enforces various zoning regulations of the County; completes technical assessments and prepares written project analyses; provides professional advice and assistance to the public on planning, community development, zoning, and permits; and performs related duties as assigned.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
* Receive and process land use applications for conditional use permits, rezones, parcel and subdivision maps, site development or site review permits, general plan amendments, and other requests related to County planning activities.
* Review applications for consistency with the County's General Plan, codes, and ordinances.
* Conduct site inspections to collect pertinent information regarding site conditions.
* Collect, research, review, and organize field and office data for the development of staff reports, analysis of planning elements, and/or development or modification of current land use policies.
* Conduct environmental review and analyses.
* Compile findings and prepare recommendations in written form for projects, including project analysis and conditions for permit approval.
* Interpret federal, state, and local laws, codes, and ordinances associated with current and advanced planning activities.
* Prepare and update maps, charts, and graphs for visual presentations related to planning activities.
* Prepare a variety of periodic and special reports regarding assigned activities; make presentations to the public, special districts and agencies as requested.

Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate will have practical experience with planning concepts, including processing applications, experience with referencing municipal codes, implementing general plan policies, knowledge of the basic principles of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and an ability to manage their workload with moderate supervision. The incumbent is expected to be a good communicator, capable of working well with the public. The Planner will be a strong team player, adaptive and versatile in a dynamic work environment.

Assistant Planner:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in city, regional, urban, or transportation planning, or a closely related field.
Associate Planner:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in city, regional, urban, or transportation planning, or a closely related field; AND Two (2) years of professional planning experience at a level equivalent to the County's class of Assistant Planner.
Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a valid California or Nevada Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities
This position will report to the plant superintendent and will provide direct assistance in daily production operations and required administraive regulatory duties.
Core Accountabilities
Work with operations management to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Responsible for preparing end of load package for each production run processed through the mill to include PPM data, run close out, and verifying daily production report for accuracy.
Plan production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors, including planning and revising material production schedule and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems and customer needs.
Coordinate the lab and assay area as directed by the plant superintendent, generate and distribute lab data and adjust mill operations accordingly. Choose raw materials to meet customer specifications and develop blend programs to maintain quality and profit.
Responsible for production and production related files for storage and ease to be able to retrieve production data.
Responsible for maintaining regulatory logs; daily log sheet, baghouse Delta Pressure, emissions log, and monthly baghouse PM logs.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent and five years related experience; or combination of education and directly related experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Possess general knowledge and proficiency in general business and the ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheets, word processing documents, databases and email programs.
Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Creativity and innovation for implementation of new programs and employee involvement.

The Senior Land Use Planner is responsible for assisting with property due diligence, land/development entitlements, and governmental approval processes. The Senior Land Use Planner will be involved throughout the development process, from property selection through completion of zoning and/or local discretionary approvals. The position supports the SVP of Entitlements by assisting with research, planning and zoning analysis, jurisdictional submissions, and team coordination on zoning and related applications.
This role is based out of our corporate office in McLean, VA and has an in-office schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Research, summarize, and present property information, including comprehensive plan and zoning information for potential development sites with focus in understanding the local government political climate as to the use proposed. Sites of interest are located both locally and nationally.
Assist in the preparation, coordination, and review of easements, development agreements, governmental submissions, and legal documents related to zoning and acquisitions. Organize and maintain zoning application files.
Monitor and participate in local and state policy, as well as proposed ordinances and incentives related to data center development and other company asset classes such as residential, industrial, or office.
Track post-approval process into design and construction phases (liaison to our Powerhouse team). Coordinate with consultant teams for in-process land use cases.
Attend community meetings and assist in the presentation of development plans.
Research State and local tax incentive opportunities and coordinate on preparation of applications and with specialized consultants, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
