You'll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Highlights of your contributions will include: * Layout and design of HVAC systems. * Development of the design criteria for the HVAC systems. These HVAC systems would include general comfort heating and cooling, those with accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and/or cleanliness requirements for clean room applications. * Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. * Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc. * Coordination with other disciplines. As our Process Mechanical Lead Engineer, you'll be charged with planning, preliminary, and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants across Ohio and the region. This will include specifications and drawings associated with treatment plant upgrades and expansions. You will be preparing general arrangement drawing for treatment equipment and tanks, designing piping and pumping systems as well as provide oversight of construction. You'll also evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves, assist with facility layouts, develop calculations, process flow diagrams, P&IDs and construction documents. In addition, you'll coordinate with other project disciplines, direct the work of CAD designers, and produce construction documents. Using your leadership skills, you'll be part of a team engaged in delivering some of the most exciting projects in the Region and beyond. You'll serve on projects as the Process Mechanical Discipline Lead which is one of the most important roles on a design project. You'll oversee process mechanical teams and provide overall leadership to projects. This role will also serve as the point of contact for our process mechanical practice which will include collaborating within the community of practice, setting standards and best practices within our region, most importantly, mentoring and growing our team. We're looking for a skilled Project Engineer to manage and supervise subcontracted scope and material resources as required for a $200 million dollar design build project in Cincinnati, Ohio. You'll be supporting the upgrades to the existing Little Miami plant providing biosolids treatment for the Cincinnati metropolitan area. You'll work full time onsite with the Jacobs design-build team, vendors and subcontractors to schedule and coordinate work between trades while ensuring technical documentation (submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents) is up to date. We're looking for natural self-starters with the ability to identify issues and collaborate as necessary toward resolution. Working on a design-build team provides you with the unique opportunity to work directly and cohesively with both the design team and construction team making issue resolution as efficient as possible. With a national presence in Design-Build construction, Jacobs will provide additional opportunities on projects in Ohio, the Midwest, and throughout the country at project completion.
