Job Description:
The Machine Operator responsibilities include operating, setting up, and performing basic maintenance on production equipment under the supervision of the Production Team Leader. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work area, following food safety and quality standards, performing inspections and quality checks, completing production documentation, removing defective products, and reporting safety, mechanical, or quality issues. The Machine Operator supports line operations, assists team members, and works effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
Pay Range: $13.50 - $19.50 per hour DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Operate, set up, adjust, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment
-Work under the direction of the Production Team Leader
-Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
-Follow all food safety, quality, and safety regulations (GMPs, PPE, HACCP)
-Perform line pre-operational inspections and assemble equipment
-Conduct and document quality checks and sampling as required
-Complete all required production and equipment documentation
-Remove defective products from the line
-Report safety issues, near misses, mechanical problems, and foreign objects

Job Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
-3-6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Previous experience operating Hayssen equipment, including adjusting and changing graphic films and tubes, preferred
-Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred
-Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual skills are a plus
-Ability to read and interpret instructions and accurately complete forms
-Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and decimals
-Intermediate reasoning skills with the ability to follow written and oral instructions
-Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform physical activities such as walking, kneeling, bending, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
-Ability to work in a refrigerated, cold/wet environment (approximately 38°F)

Load raw materials (Titanium, Inconel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, A286), select appropriate cutting tools, and se machine parameters like speed and feed rates.
Software knowledge (CAD/CAM (AutoCAD, Solidworks), ERP Systems
Cut, drill, bore, and turn materials to create parts according to blueprints and specifications.
Machine parts to dimensions and tolerances as specified on blueprints.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and precision standards, making necessary adjustments to the machine or the parts themselves.
Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to supervision.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow and enforce all safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Requirements:
Ability to read and use a tape measure and other measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
Proficiency in operating lathe machines and using various cutting tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual lathes and mills, a strong understanding of machining tools and techniques, and the ability to interpret technical blueprints.
