As an Earthwork Foreman at Lewis Environmental, you will play a crucial role in executing field assignments across our four primary service lines: Remediation, Waste Transportation, Industrial Maintenance, and Emergency Response. You will be responsible for the safe operation of mini-excavators (under 12,000 lbs.) and tracked or rubber-tired skid loaders. Documentation: Accurately complete all daily reports, including obtaining customer signatures on time and material sheets.
Ongoing Training: Participate in continued professional development, including certifications in hazardous materials handling, field sampling, as well as other required specialties.
Teamwork & Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure successful project execution and keep all teams informed of project needs and activities.
Support & Leadership: Enforce company standards of conduct and assist with the implementation of company policies and disciplinary actions as needed. Contribute to maintaining open communication at monthly field employee meetings.
Flexibility & Support: Assist in other secondary duties as required by management to support the company's goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Earthwork Foreman or in a similar role within an environmental contracting company.
Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and successful completion of a criminal background check.
Licensing: Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including being on call during weekends and after hours.
Safety-Oriented: Strong commitment to safety, quality, honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
Training: 40-hour OSHA and related safety training preferred. Training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator when required.
Ability to stand and perform physical tasks (50-70% of the time).
Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels in the work environment.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Builds and repairs bird houses, duck blinds and similar items.
Performs land management and maintenance such as tilling, aerating, and preparing land. Applies fertilizer, pesticide, and other chemical solutions with spray rigs to grass, shrubs, trees, and other plantings to prevent and/or control weeds, disease and pests, or to stimulate growth. Repairs concrete and macadam sealing. Waters, fertilizes, cultivates, and trims lawns, shrubs, flowers, trees and other plantings. Plants trees, shrubs, and flowers. May perform hand mulching and hand weeding.
Responsible for winter maintenance on County-owned properties, including the removal of snow, ice, and other hazards. Operates, maintains, and fixes snow removal and de-icing equipment. Responsible for contacting staff for winter maintenance duties. Coordinates directly with Superintendent, Public Works Director and/or designee.
Assists staff with the creation of promotional content and materials to effectively highlight the division's news, information and events to the public. This may include print materials, photos, video, graphics, flyers, posters, signs, questionnaires, mailers, etc.
Performs park safety and dam inspections.
Traps and disposes of wildlife posing threats to parks and facilities.
Assists in the creation of the annual report utilizing graphs, charts, and photos.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HVAC FOREMAN FOR NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION
As a HVAC Foreman, you provide oversight and direction for the field personnel. You ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work. Applying your industry knowledge, you are able to evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction. You assist with complex project installation challenges. As the liaison to offsite management, you report to and make recommendations to the project manager based on your observations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HVAC FOREMAN FOR NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION
5 years of HVAC new construction experience with 2 years of leadership experience required.
Plans and lays out work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises the work of HVAC personnel engaged in the installation and repair of HVAC system.
Ensure all equipment and materials are on the site for installs
Manage labor, Sobieski employees as well as Subcontractors
Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion; participates in the more complex HVAC tasks.
Confers with officials on proposed HVAC projects and makes recommendations.
Recruits and trains skilled and trades helper personnel.
Establishes safety and work performance standards for subordinates.
Performs related work as required.
